Platinum Games interested in MadWorld 2
Could there be a sequel to MadWorld on the Wii? The developer, Platinum Games, certainly thinks so, even if the publisher, Sega, disagrees. But the question that has to be asked is does anyone actually care if there is a MadWorld 2 or not?
What a strange little game MadWorld turned out to be. It caused controversy when it was first announced, mainly because it was a mature game being released on the child-friendly Wii. It was then released to critical acclaim, but didn’t sell very well. Oh, and it features some kick-ass and truly innovative visuals.
Sega recently claimed it was done with hardcore games on the Wii, but Platinum Games isn’t giving up, with Shigenori Nishikawa telling the Official Nintendo Magazine:
I think MadWorld was very well received and was acknowledged for its innovative graphical style and gameplay. We would definitely be interested in making a sequel in the future.
MadWorld is a good game that I’m glad exists. Mainly because it proves the Wii is capable of more than most casual gamers assume. But I don’t think a sequel can be justified, purely because there aren’t enough Wii gamers out there who will appreciate it. Which is a shame.

I have heard alot of good things about Madworld but that doesn’t stop the problem of their not being enough games for hardcore gamers on the Wii.

uhmmm or maybe not…since the lazy devs from Platinum Games won’t touch they PS3. they would rather make 6 more Mad World games on the Wii since its has last gen tech
