James Cameron: STFU Halo fanboys you have no clue

James Cameron: STFU Halo fanboys you have no clue Currently, James Cameron’s Avatar is on its way to becoming not only the fastest selling movie of all time but the biggest box office hit as well. Despite positive marks across the board, some have criticized the movie for blatantly ripping off Halo.

In an interesting interview on G4TV, Cameron vented just a tad bit when asked about the criticism from some that the movie Avatar copies heavily from Halo. Cameron responded by stating that Halo borrows heavily from his Alien movies, which Bungie has stated many times in the past.

He states:

The funniest thing is when some of the so-called fanboys get up trashing Avatar for looking too much like Halo. It’s like…pay attention. If I’m referencing anything, I’m referencing the source work for Halo, which is my own stuff. So I get to do that. Nobody else gets to do that, but I get to do that. My rule, anyway.

If you watch the short clip of the interview here, you can see that he is keeping his composure by laughing the comments off. However, Cameron does seem a tad bit annoyed about this topic. Could he be combing over the comments section on NeoGAF?

I’ve seen these comments quite a bit on the forums and at times it can be down right embarrassing as a fellow gamer. I’m sure you can just imagine the kind of drivel being said on these forums. I just hope that James Cameron doesn’t think that all video gamers are moronic idiots.

“criticism from some that the movie Avatar copies heavily from Halo”

To be fair, he just said Avatar, which could mean the movie and or the game. Likely some are saying the game borrows some gameplay mechanics from Halo… but even then, Aliens vs. Predator on the Atari Jaguar (which was absolutely brilliant at the time) predates (get it?) Halo by several years, and Alien (Ridley Scott, Dan O’bannon, Ronald Schusett) predates Aliens by seven years.

“I’m referencing the source work for Halo, which is my own stuff”

Wow. Amazing. James Cameron claims Aliens was not only the source work for Halo, but also that it is his “own stuff”… never mind Alien and the actual writers of the story for Aliens (David Giler and Walter Hill). Ego much?

Was it Kev who said Avatar is a Halo clone? lol

Is he saying he had something to do with Halo?

Btw, apparently this game sucks, but the 3D effect was nice… on a tv that costs about the same as a new small car.

“Some guy named James says he just changed the world and deserves a Noble Prize for showing me basketball-playing Smurfs in 3D on my 3D cinema… I have played Avatar (the game) in 3D using this method and quite frankly, it blew me away… I was also given some insight, by the helpful Ubisoft PR team, into how the TV achieves the 3D effect. A small button on the back of the TV was pressed and the two images being sent by the Xbox360 were displayed side by side… the TV I was shown Avatar on retails at £8,000! ”

Oh yes, Avatar the game looks nothing like, and has no influences from, Halo, as evidenced by these pics:

I have to say, that does look a lot like Halo…

  11. CarlB:

No. Way. But even if it does, Mr. Cameron created the source work for Halo… nobody influences him ;)

  12. CarlB:

    Side note… GT5 delayed… such a surprise:

“Cameron responded by stating that Halo borrows heavily from his Alien movies, which Bungie has stated many times in the past.”

If this is a true statement then that pretty much settles it. You can’t criticise what you copied. He has every right to make it look that way as that is the influence that Halo borrows from. As for the raging fanboys I’m sure that those saying it are just as ignorant as me on the topic. I have never heard this arguement until now. When I go check out this movie I’ll tell you what I think. Personally I didn’t think he had to be such a dick about it. He could have just set everyone straight by stating the fact and everyone would hopefully just shut up.

  14. CAD:

    Also that statement I made:

“You can’t criticise what you copied. He has every right to make it look that way as that is the influence that Halo borrows from.”

That is something I wish Playstation Fanboys would at least recognize and I’m not talking about Halo. That’s like 360 Fanboys criticising Sega Dreamcast which the 360 borrows from. Thank God I’ve never seen anyone doing that.

  15. FahKinSuPah:

    @ CAD

    “… Sega Dreamcast…”

Your going to make me cry… Broken dreams and promises…

  16. phranctoast:

I attribute the halo fanboys complaining about this because most of them are too young to remember aliens.

That being said, I recall this in the past and even bungie went on to say how much aliens influenced halo. The black character is totally supposed to be Apone.

  17. Ivan_PSP:

    LoL

Both game suck really bad i still haven’t download the movie on my VAIO gotta get the torrent downloading later already got it on my PC.

  18. Ivan_PSP:

    * 1080p native resolution, no obvious loading times (like Uncharted, DMC4), stable framerate (unclear whether 60fps)
    * God of War III won’t have too many weapons and new features. The Santa Monica team wants to keep it simple without overburdening the player.
    * God of War III engine is an evolved God of War II engine, using the PS3 hardware to its maxed potential – Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games helped out with some development.
    * Real-time damage, blood, gore – the engine can even (probably?) render specific cuts on Kratos, show bulging muscles, and sweat.
    * Speaking of bulging muscles and sweat, the sex-minigame is back (it wouldn’t be a GoW game without it). SCE Santa Monica promises “more erotic scenes” this time around.
    * Kratos has a new wall-run ability (like in Prince of Persia)

  19. phranctoast:

    wrong topic Ivan!

    anyway..

    As for Aliens vs Halo.

    h**p://halo.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_References_to_Aliens_in_Halo

James Cameron has every right to be ticked when people compare Avatar to Halo for this specific reason.

  20. CarlB:

James Cameron now owns science fiction? Alien came before Aliens, and he had nothing to do with it, now he wants to claim it’s “his stuff”? Hilarious.

  21. phranctoast:

Actually Carlb, If you look at what’s referenced most of it is his stuff and has little to do with Alien and more to do with Aliens.

  22. phranctoast:

And Bungie themselves said that Aliens (with an S) was inspiration. I mean they pulled direct quotes….what else is there to say?

  23. Happyhockum:

Much as I enjoy a good old hippy yarn as the best of them, the problem I have with Avatar is that it’s telling a tale told several times before
(‘Dances With Wolves, in Space’ is as good a description as any I’ve seen).

If he means it as some kind of allogory then he’s tragically and staggeringly at odds with the record of our own human history.
Some might say it was a sick joke, if utterly typical of the sugary feel-good b*llocks today’s audience is supposed to be demanding.
Perhaps the film makers have simply decided that their typical target audience can’t handle anything but the most simplistic & dumbed-down stuff.

Regardless of any Halo origin I’m just amazed Cameron has the nerve to go moaning that others are pointing out his highly derivative and well-worn plot-line.

  24. CAD:

Oh WOW Grand Tursimo is Delayed!

  26. Roca.:

wrong topic CAD, but at least you didnt copy and paste the whole article this time ;)

  27. phranctoast:

    @happy.

No one cares about your opinion of Avatar. We know you didn’t like it regardless of it having a 80+% metacritic/rotten tomatoes reviews.

“Regardless of any Halo origin I’m just amazed Cameron has the nerve to go moaning that others are pointing out his highly derivative and well-worn plot-line.”

Here’s a quote from wiki on Aliens.

“Cameron drew inspiration for the Aliens story from the Vietnam War, a situation in which a technologically superior force was mired in a hostile foreign environment: “Their training and technology are inappropriate for the specifics, and that can be seen as analogous to the inability of superior American firepower to conquer the unseen enemy in Vietnam: a lot of firepower and very little wisdom, and it didn’t work.”[6][10] In the story of Aliens the Colonial Marines are hired to protect the business interests of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, corresponding to the belief that corporate interests were the reason that American troops were sent to South Vietnam. The attitude of the Marines was influenced by the Vietnam War; they are portrayed as cocky and confident of their inevitable victory, but when they find themselves facing a less technologically advanced but more determined enemy, the outcome is not what they expect”

I’ve heard the “Dances with Wolves” reference, and Even “Pochohontas”,

and while that concept is as old as hell, it shows similarity between Aliens (1986) and Avatar (2009).

    @CAD
too late. Carlb beat you to the troll post.

    Dances with Smurfs

Avatar is a solid movie, no surprise HH didn’t like, he’s just so anti-pop for the sake of it, that it would have been strange for him to react in any other way. Keep it real with your sad self, HH.

  29. Happyhockum:

    Very funny.

phranctoast now thinks he speaks for everyone and JofaMang roll in in support.

Avatar as an allegory of the human experience is a sick joke, as any quick look at the history of the genocides in Southern, Central & Northern America (to name but a few) proves.

No wonder there as so many who insist on looking at this in the most laughably superficial terms.

  30. Roca.:

    HH strikes again…

  31. phranctoast:

I know I speak for the majority if anything. 84% on metacritic.

Your opinion also holds no value to this conversation.

How James Cameron defending his title to Halo ripoff allegations by saying Halo was influenced by his own work and he references his stuff as proof, has anything to do with your tired anti Avatar tirade is beyond me.

You can trace many movies to their influences. Star Wars/Old Samuari flicks….

Like Jofa said. Sounds to me like you’re anti popular (pun intended)

  32. Happyhockum:

    Ha ha ha ha

Better to stand with the free-thinking than the sheeple who lap up anything they given.

Popularity = quality now is it?

Those Toronto girls would do anything for US currency.

Last time one picked up my buddies bottle off the bar with no hands. Needless to say, he didn’t drink it afterwards.

  45. JofaMang:

Montreal has better stripclubs than TO, but the currency difference is so small these days that it probably won’t have the same effect it may have had in the past.

We have 1 Imax in Winnipeg, and I was able to walk up with my wife last weekend to see it in 3d. Having 1/8th the population helps sometimes~

  46. Happyhockum:

“I went to see it twice (1st time in 2D and the 2nd in 3D) so I could fully appreciate the 3D”

after you claimed the movie was shit (I bet you did it just for the sake of arguing)…

HH will probably buy Avatar on DVD & Bluray and maybe Avatar the Game….so much for a shitty movie

I guess that’s a concept that’s just too much for your mentality to handle.

  53. Happyhockum:

    Yeah, as I thought.

    Empty stupid comments.

I was interested enough in the claims about the tech that I made a perfectly honest (and reasonably valid) comparison.

Obviously (judging by the sort of comments made so far) I’m in a minority.

That’s pretty funny seeing how one of the biggest blow-hards for the whole ’3D at home on your PS3′ thing is reduced here to just making stuff up.

I think this about you, you’ll probably that, maybe the other.
    Pathetic, as usual.

  54. phranctoast:

so much for a shitty movie….as always we can’t HH’s comments any serious

  56. phranctoast:

….and 5:20 hours must have cost something in the refreshments dept.

  57. Barnabe Jones:

    Kev,

IMO it doesn’t make sense to release a high profile game so close to a time when so many other high profile games are set to be released. It’s kind of like defeating your own purpose.

Why would Sony want to compete for sales against Sony: White Knight, Heavy Rain, GoW 3. And big 3rd party releases like FF XIII, RE 5 expansion, etc, etc

I’m guessing it was a strategical move.

  58. Barnabe Jones:

Wow Bioshock 2 will only have a 10 hour campaign. Pass! I’ll buy it used when it’s about $10.

  59. Ivan_PSP:

    Long enough for me.

  60. phranctoast:

“Wow Bioshock 2 will only have a 10 hour campaign. Pass! I’ll buy it used when it’s about $10.”

Isn’t that at least as long as the first ones SP campaign?

This one has a MP aspect also.(although I’ll probably ignore it)

  61. phranctoast:

    “Long enough for me.”

he said 10 hours, not 10 inches. Leave your BF out of this. ;)

  62. CAD:

    “Toronto huh.

Are the strip clubs as good as they were in the 90’s?
Those Toronto girls would do anything for US currency.”

    Phranctoast

Well to be honest I have not gone to the strip Clubs in a while but I personally don’t go to Strip Clubs in the City because of the No Touch Rule. Outside the City in the 905 you can go further and the shows are better. If your in Toronto I suggest Whisky-GO-GO in the municipality of Vaughn which is just outside the City. As for Toronto Girls doing anything for US currency I hear the opposite. They actually make fun of US girls because they will work it for a $1. Unfortunaley that is because the smallest bill we have is $5 our $1 & $2 are coins. Lap dances are like $20 per song. It’s murder up here. Personally I went to one in Niagara Falls recently and wow was that crazy. The Sundowner is where it’s at if your passing through Niagara Falls. I hear Montreal is good too but I experienced some racisim in Montreal strip clubs so I’m not particularly fond of that City but many people love it there. Those dame French Canadians.

  63. Roca.:

I think it because of the damage and physics portion of the game to. There has yet to be a working Demo with damage in it. CES10 was the most recent one.

  65. phranctoast:

    @CAD
Yeah, like Jofa said…the exchange rate is very different from the last time I went.

You ever find your way to a Buffalo Bills game. You’re a hell of a lot closer than me. ;)

  66. CAD:

Yeah but hey I’m human and fall to the lust of the flesh at times but I can safely say that since I have been married I have not touched one girl. Honest. I was only there for Birthdays. Trust me I had to get my ass out of the Niagara Falls club because I was getting tempted. It was that crazy in there.

  67. CAD:

I have yet to go to a Bills game but it’s on my list. The Bills have a deal to have a few games in Toronto each season but those games are expensive. Besides half of the Bills attendence is Canadians in there home stadium. It’s the reason I believe the NFL won’t give Toronto a team because it will destroy the Bills.

  68. Roca.:

“There has yet to be a working Demo with damage in it”

uhmmmm I think you forgot all about TGS 09…all those GT5 demo with no damage are early builds

here is all that have been confirmed for GT5:

    - All vehicles will have both physical and mechanical damage modeling
    - 1,000+ vehicles, all with modeled interiors
    - Up to 16 players online
    - Indy cars and tracks will be included
    - Nascar cars and tracks included
    - Head tracking is reconfirmed and it’s for use during racing
    - Multi display is back (using 3 PS3’s for a wider view)
    - HD uploads to YouTube
    - Full Weather changing effects
    - Night racing for all tracks
    - All cars will have cockpit view
    - Night & Day cycle and weather effects on all tracks
    - Only 160 Premium cars will have full “interior” damage modeling

  69. CAD:

  77. phranctoast:

    @CAD
are you sure? I recall the guy trying it out in the destructoid article saying something like that. I’m on my phone now and can’t really look it up. Check forza forums. Maybe they have an answer.

Jets got so close to having a stadium in the middle of NYC. Stupid cablevision (owns Madison square garden) campaigned against it.

  78. Happyhockum:

    Old news.

GT5 just got an “indefinite” postponement.

  79. Happyhockum:

    oh my –

“film director James Cameron was facing claims today that his 3D blockbuster Avatar owes an unacknowledged debt to the popular Soviet fantasy writers Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.

Cinema audiences in Russia have been quick to point out that Avatar has elements in common with The World of Noon, or Noon Universe, a cycle of 10 bestselling science fiction novels written by the Strugatskys in the mid-1960s.

It was the Strugatskys who came up with the planet Pandora – the same name chosen by Cameron for the similarly green and lushly forested planet used as the spectacular backdrop to Avatar. The Noon Universe takes place in the 22nd century. So does Avatar, critics have noticed.

And while there are clear differences between the two Pandoras, both are home to a similarly named bunch of humanoids – the Na’vi in Cameron’s epic, and the Nave in Strugatskys’ novels, read by generations of Soviet teenagers and space-loving scientists and intellectuals”
    h**p://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/jan/13/james-cameron-avatar-plagarism-claim

    Wow.

So, not only a fairly tired old tale with a dumb ending but even the main elements of the plot are a direct lift from someone else’s work.

Jimmy C’s just taken a huge hit.

  80. CAD:

    Roca

Actually your a bit wrong. Yes Sports teams don’t do good in Canada with the exception of Toronto. Toronto is the only City that can support sprots teams. Vancouver and Montreal I really can’t explain but I know the Grizzlies moved to Memphis because the Corporate over in Vancouver did not support it. I think everyone is High in Vancouver because it’s know for the best weed in the world and when they should have been supporting their teams they were rolling a joint instead. Baseball is dying here in Canada and no one cares about Baseball the way Americans do. The Maple Leafs suck to Hell and back and every season is sold out and the tickets are the most expensive in the league. The owner of Blackberry was trying to bring that NHL Team to Hamilton (I can’t remember which team) but the league did not like him. Toronto can support 2 Hockey teams but the NHL are being idiots. The Raptors do pretty good here in terms of attendance and I think there at 500 right now. Toronto even has a Football (soccer) Club called Toronto FC and a Lacross Team called Toronto Rock plus the OHL Teams for Hockey.

  81. CAD:

    Phranctoast

I heard a microsoft rep in a video detailing how you do it but I did not pay attention as I know I may never do it but I kow for sure you only need 1 360 console to run 3 screen Forza 3

I’ve heard of Forza 2 using 5 monitors (you can have 1 behind you!).

  83. CarlB:

“Actually Carlb, If you look at what’s referenced most of it is his stuff and has little to do with Alien and more to do with Aliens.”

Fair enough. There were at least four other writers involved who likely did “most of that stuff” which is not “his own”:

    David Giler (story)
    Walter Hill (story)
    Dan O’Bannon (characters)
    Ronald Shusett (characters)

Not to mention the concepts shown in the film, going by the list of what’s “referenced” on the link you provided… here are previous “sources”:

    Space Marines: Lensman series – E. E Smith 1937, Starship Troopers – Robert Heinlein – 1959

    Parasites: Facehugger – Alien
Extraterrestrials: H. R. Geiger, as early as 1976
    Vehicles and Structures: Syd Mead
Dialogue: Several previous science fiction and military novels are just as similar, including Starship Troopers.

Oh yes, and HH’s post above… excellent find btw.

‘I need a Baby Sitter during to week in order to see this Movie.’

@ CAD: Why, you not old enough to see it by yourself yet? lol.

…You did walk into that one I’m afraid lol.

    oldschool1987:
    LMFAO…

  88. phranctoast:

At least you’re not splitting hairs carlb. Good luck proving who created what. He’s a writer and the director. If he chooses to call it “his stuff” that should be good enough. Especially with the Aliens/Halo proof provided.

I guess Bungie saying that Aliens influenced Halo no longer matters right? Stupid Bungie, they should have said those other movies, that they probably didn’t see instead.

Like I said before. The people complaining about this (xbox demographic) More than likely didn’t see a movie releases in 1986 so they can be forgiven for their ignorance.

“He’s a writer and the director. If he chooses to call it “his stuff” that should be good enough.”

Wow, talk about carte blanche for plagerism.

“The people complaining about this (xbox demographic) More than likely didn’t see a movie releases in 1986 so they can be forgiven for their ignorance”

Wow, not a daft fact-free & laughably silly sweeping statement there at all, much.

As someone who attended the London opening of Alien in September 1979 (and hardly my first film) I find that a ludicrous comment.

  90. Roca.:

    Title of the article

“James Cameron: STFU Halo fanboys [CarlB, HH & CAD] you have no clue

    LOL @ oldschool

  91. phranctoast:

He’s the writer and director. Not a writer etc.

    Better happy?

Sorry happy. Unfortunately, you don’t represent the majority of 360 owners demographic.

  92. Ivan_PSP:

“James Cameron: STFU Halo fanboys [CarlB, HH & CAD] you have no clue”

    Love the quote LoL.

  93. CarlB:

“I guess Bungie saying that Aliens influenced Halo no longer matters right?”

Look at my first comment and all the others phranc. I even state Alien (that’s Alien, not Aliens) vs. Predator predates Halo by several years and likely had more than a few influences on Halo as well, directly or indirectly. You’ll see a common thread in my comments, and it’s not about Halo. It’s about James Cameron taking credit for Aliens being “his own stuff”. BS and ego.

  94. CarlB:

    “Halo fanboys”

Too true, of the Halos in Bayonetta, not Halo the game… lol.

  95. phranctoast:

Actually. I should have originally said the Halo demographic.

  96. Ivan_PSP:

Halo sucks anyways i rather watch AVATAR over and over.

Cameron stated that if Avatar was successful, he hoped to make two sequels to the film. In a 2009 interview, he stated that the story arc he developed is large enough to cover two more films. Cameron also mentioned that the sequel’s story arc would begin after the events of the first film and that it would continue to follow the characters Jake and Neytiri.

  97. phranctoast:

    @Carlb
What the hell was he supposed to say? Was he supposed to split hairs like you are doing in that interview?

A lot from Halo was influenced by Aliens. That is a straight up fact. Even Bungie acknowledges this. No one can argue this at all.

How should of that interview gone? Was he supposed to acknowledge all the work in the past that influenced him, When the question is whether or not his work was taken from Halo when it’s clear as day that he borrowed from himself and that same movie inspired Halo..

  98. Roca.:

this debate is straight up worthless…idk why CarlB, HH and CAD even bother

  99. Happyhockum:

    Roca

Don’t bother, the ideas involved are so obviously way beyond you anyway.

  100. phranctoast:

    In Hudsons words,

Game over man… Game over. :)

  101. Roca.:

idias??? more like facts I would say.

many aspects of the Halo franchise was influenced by Aliens whether you like or not, thats a fact stated by Bungie themselves

  102. Happyhockum:

    Roca

Divert all you like, I neither cared nor commented on the Halo/Aliens connection.

My comments have related to Avatar the movie and the story there & the connections to other people’s work.

You see, like I said, don’t bother.
You couldn’t ‘get’ a point if came up & drove over you in a 38 tonne truck plastered in massive ‘this is the point’ signs.

  103. Roca.:

James Cameron: STFU Happyhockum you have no clue – this one will fit perfectly

  104. Happyhockum:

    Pathetic.

  105. kev:

roca – All vehicles will have both physical and mechanical damage modeling
    - 1,000+ vehicles, all with modeled interiors
    - Up to 16 players online
    - Indy cars and tracks will be included
    - Nascar cars and tracks included
    - Head tracking is reconfirmed and it’s for use during racing
    - Multi display is back (using 3 PS3’s for a wider view)
    - HD uploads to YouTube
    - Full Weather changing effects
    - Night racing for all tracks
    - All cars will have cockpit view
    - Night & Day cycle and weather effects on all tracks
    - Only 160 Premium cars will have full “interior” damage modeling

…uh…nothing is confirmed until it launches.

it’s hilarious how you repeated features to make it sound like GT5 has more features than what it really has.

you used weather affects twice, interior views twice, nightime racing twice, while forgetting to mention the Nascar fields consist of 30+ cars per race, while GT5 doesn’t offer that many cars at once on the track.

    you are a true ps3 fanboy…no doubt…lmao..

  106. Roca.:

    Great news for Wii owners

“Netflix are about to get their wish and round of all three games consoles, as Nintendo will announce that the online streaming service will come to the Wii in the spring. An announcement will be made today, where they will hopefully offer us a more specific release date.

Those who own a Wii will need a high-speed broadband connection and will need a Netflix subscription of at least $9 per month; this will then cost nothing extra per month. This online movie and TV streaming service has become popular in recent months, thanks to partnerships with not only the Xbox 360 and the Sony PS3, but also a number of consumer electronics manufacturers as well.

The Netflix service that is available to Xbox 360 users is only available to those with an Xbox Live Gold subscription, but the service has certainly proved very popular in the few months that it has been available to them.

When the streaming service arrives on the Wii, users will be able to use the Motion Controller to navigate through the Netflix menu then choose what they wish to view. According to ABC News, the interface will be similar to that of the PlayStation 3.

Netflix will see the popularity of its service increase dramatically as the Nintendo Wii is still the most popular games console on the market. They might not be selling as many consoles as they once did, but there are still more consoles in peoples living rooms that the PS3 or the Xbox 360.”

  107. Ivan_PSP:

Netflix is expensive to have especially on the money grobbing wannabe console Gaybot.
    Broadband $42 for me
    Netflix $9 for everyone else

PS3 and Wii owners just need high speed and the $9 monthly Xbot need $59 extra LMFAO robbery.

    Timed Exclusives Games/Features

  108. kev:

this is more bad news for Bluray, that’s for sure. why buy a disk at $25 when you can rent it for pennies? sony just can’t catch a break….lmao…

  109. Ivan_PSP:

    LoL dumb ass wow hilarious.

  110. kev:

ivan – don’t blame me, your buddy roca introduced the topic…..lmao!

  111. oldschool1987:

Seeing as Kev is now here trolling away, I think ill go lol. It’s like reading a child write insults… But not very well.

  112. CarlB:

“what was he supposed to say”

I don’t know maybe anything but it was “his own stuff” in reference to Aliens and Halo like he created and owned the sourcework. Maybe something like Aliens had a lot of sources and his team of highly talented people were responsible for the creation of most of it, let alone acknowledging the original film Alien, which he was a huge fan of.

    “split hairs”

You not only linked the site with those hairs, but then also asked me to go by it, which I did.

Again, I have no qualms with Bungie saying Halo was heavily influenced by Aliens, only with Cameron talking like he was the sole source for the majority of what was in Aliens.

  113. Ivan_PSP:

Xbots are all lame useless failure trollers.

  114. phranctoast:

Was it a G4 interview or an Academy Award acceptance speech ;)

  115. kev:

sorry for being off topic, but: i saw a recent TMZ bit in which a guy saw James Cameron at LAX and asked for an autograph. Cameron completely belittled and insulted the guy for asking.

it’s my official opinion Cameron is a douche and Avatar is grossly overrated. *exhale*..there..i feel better…

  116. CarlB:

No phranc, it was just illustrative of how far the ego can go given the right environment ;)

  117. phranctoast:

He does kinda sound like a dick. I think mike was right and it’s not the first time he’s heard this stuff and he snapped a bit.

Any word from him as to a response based on the other issue (pandora and navi)???

  118. CarlB:

Na… I can see your point as well though, and it’s not like it was a formal environment. I can’t imagine what having all that money would be like, let alone the people you have to deal with at times, so I can’t say I would be any better.

  119. Ivan_PSP:

Ivan_PSP: STFU Xbotic fanboys you have no clue…

  120. CarlB:

    Truly “Pbotic”… LOL.

  121. Ivan_PSP:

Truly COPYCATS all Xbotic. Xbox is well trash…

I made up Xbot now Xbotic.

  122. CarlB:

Ivan’s a little PeeBot, short and stout, that is his handle, watch him spout.
When he gets all steamed up, then he shouts, just tip him over and pour him out.

  123. Ivan_PSP:

Shut up you Xbotic fanbot. Bitter wannabe rival…

  124. CarlB:

    LOL

  125. twilight:

    Lol!

  126. phranctoast:

“Ivan’s a little PeeBot, short and stout, that is his handle, watch him spout.
When he gets all steamed up, then he shouts, just tip him over and pour him out.?”
