Leaked picture may prove first hardcore Natal title to be Halo: Reach
Bungie recently released a batch of new screens from Halo: Reach and something interesting was discovered in one of the screenshots. The picture has caused some speculation that Natal might be in the works for Halo: Reach.
Gamereactor recently visited Bugie to chat with the developers about its upcoming game, Halo: Reach. One of the takeaways from the visit was a host of pictures from Bungie. Interestingly enough some eagle eyed folks found an interesting screenshot mixed up in the bunch. Connected Consoles also discovered this screenshot from Gamereactor.
It appears to be a screenshot showing the aiming reticule off to the left side and not in the center of the screen. This is a bit similar to what we have seen with Resident Evil or Dead Space: Extraction on the Wii where the aim from the motion controller moves the reticule around on the screen.
I can’t say it hasn’t been speculated as even Bungie’s president, Harold Ryan told the Seattle Times as much mid last year. Ryan stated, “I absolutely think Reach could be enabled with it [Natal].”
What do you guys make of it? Natal on Halo: Reach or just some odd glitch that was accidentally sent out by Bungie?

I like the concept of natal because im letting my imagination run away with me, but it needs to be done right the wii does what it does very well and the PS3 arc? is a similar concept so it should be well done, it seems to me MS are taking a huge risk that could harm there whole motion control future if its not done well

So natals going to be a playable option in Halo Reach?
Sounds kinda like a light gun game the way you put it.
I kinda like the idea of Natal being used in a horror game. Like Dead Space or Condemned.
As long as it is the player who controlls the movement, I think this kind of thing could be incorperated well into a game like that.

I see what your saying but I’m just not sure. The screen shot I would say is not fake as it has that new Halo 343 Industries look. As for Natal could and could not be as the gun seems a little tilted. Very hard to say.
I have to wonder if the engine that did Halo Wars is the same engine doing Reach. The graphics in the cut scenes are superb and much better then ODST. Have you tried Halo Wars? Wow this game even though it was the best selling RTS on the 360 I’m still saying this is a slept on game when compared to FPS Halo’s. Went online once so far and there was a decent 6000+ playing. I got my ass kicked online. This dude sent over a pair of giant purple spider looking things with huge lasers that took out both of my bases. Right now I’m just learning more tactics to go back online and take someone out.

Great game, the only problem is that the graphics aren’t the best, the loading is terrible and for some reason when I go to a new area it takes AGES for all the details to appear on the characters and environments :s I heard ME2 has none of these problems.

Currently enjoying the hell outer MAG. I going to try White Knight Chronicles and Heavy Rain in February. In March I gotta pickup my paid in full order for God Of War III Ultimate Edition also i gotta buy FFXIII because it comes out in my birthday. Just got my teeth into Halo ODST for the first time today with my young fella (we got it for his B’Day) Co-op is pretty cool.
I must say the graphics have not changed at all, but it is good, none the less. It is good to see another part of the story.
On another note ….. I did see an ad at EB’s for the GOW trilogy, so it shouldn’t be far off !!!! (I have NEVER played a GOW game ….. but I hear it is apparently good ?? LOL )

I’ve come to the conclusion that Microsoft will never get the system failure fixed. I think they would have to re-design the system. This is one of the things that I still hate about the Xbox360. I never buy extended in store warranties but I certainly got one for the Xbox360. Even though I got it as a Christmas present, I took the receipt back to the store and brought the extended warranty. They say the newer systems are supposed to be more reliable though.

That’s exactly what I think of it. Yes, the failure rate is clearly much less of a problem than it was with the earlier models. I’m still pretty suspicious of it. Shame on Microsoft for “raining fire and brimstone upon our souls” (Hutch quote) by releasing that system a little too early.
The system still has its problems, which will either stay or turn into new ones with each redesign.
