Xbox 360 exclusive CAPCOM game unveiled
Recently, the Japanese Xbox 360 site teased a new collaboration between CAPCOM and Microsoft. This prompted speculation of an Xbox 360 exclusive game in the works. Today, Microsoft finally revealed the game.
I reported earlier that Microsoft was teasing a special unveiling, hinting at a new Xbox exclusive game. Today, Microsoft unveiled the press release of the joint event held with CAPCOM, where many games already in development were presented. Among those games titles such as Dead Rising 2 and Super Street Fighter IV were shown.
However, near the end of the event CAPCOM did unveil a game that is presumably an Xbox 360 exclusive on the consoles. The game was Monster Hunter Frontier Online. As many of you may already know this game actually came out for the PC in Japan back in 2007.
It seems like CAPCOM is now bringing this popular online title to the Xbox 360 around summer time this year. As of now there are no current plans to bring this game overseas like the PC version. However, this could change if the demand is there.

I played the original on PS2. To me it was a pain in the rear to get into. It had alot of promise but it was hard to make progress at one point if you weren’t playing it online with a group of people and it was hard to find a group. Online gameplay on console was nothing then like it is now.
Probably one of the best things about it was when you were in a group and a HUGE monster suddenly popped out. Now that was fun

@Harry: I didn’t like the first Monster Hunter games on the PS2 and PSP, until I tried Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Don’t get the one with similar name “Monster Hunter Freedom”
Loading times were slashed to very low amounts even on my 1000-PSP, and the game is easier to get. Now, with adhoc on the PS3/PSP, it is much easier to find people to play with. I believe the demo should be playable with others as well as teaching you a lot of things.
Be warned though, it is the type of game that ’sucks you in’, can get addictive fast.. <.< like FFXI for me

Japan loves Monster Hunter. Only problem with this game is that it’s been out for a while already on the PC.
If the 360 got a new Monster Hunter game as an exclusive, it would be a big coup of the series away from the PS brand which made it famous in Japan.
I agree with most here. I don’t see the big deal about MH games.

Famitsu reports from the event, players need to purchase Hunter Life Course Coupons to log online. Each ticket costs 1,400 yen ($15) and is good for 30 days of Monster Hunter Frontier Online plus 30 days of Xbox Live Gold. On PCs, Monster Hunter Frontier Online costs 1,400 yen alone. Basically, Microsoft is giving away free Xbox Live Gold with every Monster Hunter Frontier Online subscription. Expect to see a lot more Japanese Xbox 360 owners logging on to live this summer.

Just how did the recently announced Lost Planet 2 and Gears of War crossover happen? Well, according to Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski it was Capcom who contacted Epic.
“They [Capcom] contacted us about the cameo and we said ‘heck yeah,’” Bleszinski told Kotaku. “We’re mutual fans of each other’s work and crossovers are darned cool so we sent over the Marcus and Dom models for implementation.”

Yes and it is the one and only game on the PS3 to sell that many copies and it took it’s time getting there.
But lets be real it’s not on the 360 because Kojima was a fanboy but is now seeing the light. $$$$ plus ease of development. But lets be even fairer why bother bring a story that had 3 games already on Playstation and is the finale. Might as well finish it on the Playstation. But hey Metal Gear Rising is coming and that will be the new hotness. I personally did not like MGS so I don’t know if I’ll even be interested in Rising. It will be intresting to see what Kojima does with Natal since he was so infatuated with it.

Resident Evil had 6-7 games on playstation but Xbots only got to play one of the and most of them didnt know what the fuck was going on. same goes for Devil May Cry, Tekken, Guilty Gear (even thought the 360 title sucked), and many more.
and it will happen again when FF13 comes out as you wont get the complete story because the 360 is only getting 1 out 3 FF13 games, and their are even cutting out content from to make it all fit into 3 dvds.

Kojima is not a fanboy, he made MGS2 on xbox and didn’t make MGS4 on the 360 becuase it didn’t fit on the discs, hell, he sai there wasn’t enough room on blue-ray, how many times do you want to swap the disc?

Plus Konami is from Japan and Hideo Kojima doesn’t really like Microsoft or the Xbox 360 console.
