Get some Battlefield 1943 in Bad Company 2
Battlefield 1943 is probably the most popular DLC of last year, with its creative meta game that forced PS3 and Xbox 360 owners to work towards unlocking a new map. According to DICE, Bad Company 2 will have a little bit of 1943 in it.
I absolutely loved Battlefield 1943 when it came out. It was worth every penny I paid for it. I would go as far as to say that I enjoy the Battlefield series a bit more than the Call of Duty franchise for many reasons.
I was a big fan of games like COD when I didn’t appreciate things like strategy. COD is about being cannon fodder, dying quickly to charge back in to face certain death again. As I played FPS games over the years, I learned to appreciate the finer aspects of strategizing, living longer and working in a squad closely from the Battlefield franchise.
I was ecstatic to hear that BFBC2 will allow you to play with weapons from BF1943. I was even more excited to hear that in BFBC2, there will be a level based on the Japanese island from BF1943. This bit of news was discovered when the ESRB published the ratings notes for the game. I am hoping that the WWII level will also be a optional map for the multiplayer mode. How awesome would it be to play a WWII map with 1943 weapons on the updated Frostbite Engine.

@Roca
Dead Space: Extraction was an on rails shooter… how the heck would that even work on PS3/360?
that makes no sense

your right, it makes no sense…but don’t ask me, ask EA who made the desicion to port the game. maybe it will be out when Natal/Arc hit the shelves.

“Fuck you very much.”
Exactly

And who said the Wii’s popularity was going to kill decent games from being made?
Oh that’s right. It was me, that’s who.
Seriously I’m a little worried about what the gaming selection in 2011 and beyond is going to hold. I have a feeling we are all going to end up suffering.

Me to.
But there is a nice backlog of games I can play on the PS3 and even the Xbox 1.

That’s a pretty good point.

I for one wanted to play dead space extraction on my girls wii. Now I’ll probably settle for the arc port. Not bad imo…not bad at all.
I see this hurting natal more than the arc. Arc seems a more viable system to port wii games over to due to the similar control scheme.
