Why Modern Warfare 2 players are noobs at Bad Company 2

Why Modern Warfare 2 players are noobs at Bad Company 2Hardcore Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 gamers who think they are the crème de la crème of fps gaming may be in for a shock after playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The primary difference between the two games is that the latter actually requires a bit of skill and strategy.

COD: MW2 is all about dying so that you can respawn quickly to die just as quickly again. Gamers throw themselves to their deaths without the slightest hesitation all the time providing for a frustrating gaming experience after a while.

Gamers who may have gotten used to being a cannon fodder in MW2 will quickly find that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 may be a bit more challenging. BC2 relies on strategy, teamwork and trying to live longer as dying often actually impacts your team.

The guys over at Pixelenemy put together an excellent “How To” video to help MW2 players not suck at BF: BC2.

Well reason be damned, because the Bad Company 2 Multiplayer Demo is chock full of Modern Warfare masters who can’t shoot for shit, can’t arm an M-COM, and possibly the worst offense of all: couldn’t Spot a Bradley if it left a track mark across the back of their skull.

Worry not, here’s How Not to Be a Noob at Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Head on out to pre-order Battlefield: Bad Company 2 now to automatically have your game upgraded to the limited edition for free. The limited edition gives you access to some additional loadouts including those from Battlefield 1943.

Completely agree, luckily though I don’t own MW2 and have plenty of experience in battlefield adn simliar games.

  2. CON:

Really looking forward to this game but 90% of this games userbase will be MW players so insulting them isn’t the brightest marketing idea lol kinda makes me not want to buy it.

There are no respawns in search and destroy.

  3. CON:

I always preferred Gears 1 where you would have to go around in teams of 4 and once you died you were out. If you didn’t use you mic against another good team you were as good as dead.

  4. SW:

Can’t believe they don’t mention that crates are destructible! I haven’t armed a crate in weeks, I just slap some c4 on that fooker and boom :)

I like the fact that there isn’t much teammate-to-teammate strategy needed in MW2, but I have to blatantly disagree with the rest. Throwing yourself to your death is called being a BAD COD player, and it is also called being the average COD player. It’s dreadfully easy to take care of them. No player in COD really gets on my nerves (not even campers) besides knifers, and I understand why they do it.

It does take skill and strategy to get stay alive long enough to get the “big” killstreaks such as Chopper Gunner and even a Pavelow, without camping. Besides, you’ll never get enough kills to go 30-1 if you camp.

Of course, it is devoid of any teamwork. I only play TDM Express (don’t want to wait 2 minutes in between each game), and the only way I help my team is by trying to keep a decent KDR.

BC2 does wipe the floor with MW2 in terms of strategy.

CoD is full of noobs, that’s why it easy to get around 30 to 40 kills per game.

It’s pretty funny. You’ll hear “enemy apache incoming”, and imediately all of your teammates will charge outside on masse, waiting to be claimed.

Just about nobody usues cold blooded. :)

Shooting down air support pisses people off, and they won’t play in your lobby for long.

  7. Roca.:

MW2 and BBC2 have two totally different fanbase. But there are a big chunk of players who play both.

MW2 is full of campers…..I was playing sabotage and there was a guy with 109 kills and 7 deaths….he was saving all his killatreaks bonus so when finally decided to use them all it felt like we were in the middle of WW3. then he ended the game with a nuke

i look forward to your next article: Why Pacman players are shit at Space invaders.

    What a moronically pointless article

  9. Rhino:

“What a moronically pointless article”. maybe, but as someone who plays the BF:BC2 beta after getting the shits with MW2 the playing style IS very different.

You gotta think a little more with BC.

    “What a moronically pointless article”

Agreed. It’s no different from calling Killzone 2 users noobs against MAG or Halo users noobs against Gears. They’re the same fucking userbase.

Anyone who can get the nuke in MW2 will kick ass at this game, it’s ignorant to state otherwise.

I’ve always said the following and sums up my take on this:
The call of duty franchise, is like riding a bicycle with training wheels, when you up for the big boy game that is the battlefield franchise, get ready to ride a motorcycle…training is over..

  12. squashman22:

Ok I dont see how this can be true… Im an above average player on CoD: MW2 even though I hate the game… When playing the demo I was top of the team most every time with ease.

Stupid article and too many good games coming out :( Im a get Heavy Rain instead though :)

  13. squashman22:

“Besides, you’ll never get enough kills to go 30-1 if you camp”

BS I got 30-1 in free for all on Wasteland, 5 kills with pistol, a knife, predator missile, then harriers, whilst running around put out my pavelow, Had marathon uzi classs on no one shot down pavelow and it was easy as hell over in 3 mins… so STFU
