According to a recent patent filing it seems like Sony is looking to take on the gray peripheral market. The patent reveals a universal video game controller that can be used on the Xbox, Nintendo and Playstation console.

Uncharted 2 is the definitive Game of the Year title for 2009 with more industry awards than you can shake a stick at it. Sony recently announced a major milestone for the title in sales and awards.

Gamers are obviously a sentimental lot. That’s the only way to explain the demand there is for a remake of Final Fantasy VII, a game that millions of us played and loved to bits. But an FF7 remake looks unlikely to ever happen, mainly because it would take up so much time and resources which Square Enix would rather channel into a new title.

The Vietnam War isn’t exactly a high point in U.S. history. It’s a war in which America’s involvement was deemed unnecessary and unjust. And it resulted in the deaths of more than 50,000 U.S. soldiers. Yet it’s rumored to be the setting of the next Call Of Duty game.

Hardcore Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 gamers who think they are the crème de la crème of fps gaming may be in for a shock after playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The primary difference between the two games is that the latter actually requires a bit of skill and strategy.

One of biggest differences between the Xbox 360 and PS3 is the Blu-ray player. The Xbox 360 uses the DVD format and the PS3 uses the larger capacity Blu-ray format.

Final Fantasy XIII is obviously coming to both the PS3 and Xbox 360 after Square Enix decided to spread the love from just Sony to include Microsoft. However, that doesn’t guarantee the two versions will play or look the same. And there’s now evidence that the Xbox 360 version will not be running in HD, unlike the PS3 version.

Sony has improved the features and usability of the PS3 immensely since it was first released via regular firmware updates. But there are some features which are consistently missing, the biggest of which is arguably cross-game voice chat. And there could be a reason for that.
