Uncharted 2, Game of the Year for 2009 will be getting a patch for the multiplayer mode. The patch will add 12 new trophies and 12 in-game medals. In addition to the patch, Naughty Dog is planning on releasing DLC for the game.

Square Enix has been very adamant that the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII is pretty much the same quality-wise as the PS3 version. The company’s motivation came under a bit of fire recently when Square Enix released a batch of doctored photos of the Xbox 360 version of the game.

The first Crysis game had PC gamers salivating at the lush graphics and bragging to their console-owning brethren that the PS3 and Xbox 360 would never have a game able to match it. Wrong. So wrong in fact that Crytek is developing Crysis 2 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as the PC. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Rumors of a PS3 supply shortage was confirmed yesterday on the official Playstation Blog. Today, a Sony representative talked a little more about the shortage and issued a word of caution.

Microsoft recently held the X10 event where the company went over all of the biggest titles to come out on the Xbox 360 this year. The event showcased many of the titles that have been anticipated for some time.

The NPD numbers are out for January and as expected sales are down dramatically from the holiday season. However, things are looking pretty strong even though January is considered to be traditionally dry.

In a wholly unsurprising move, Disney Interactive Studios has decided to limit the number of titles it develops and releases for the “higher end consoles,” the PS3 and Xbox 360, in favor of “casual” platforms such as the Wii and DS. Probably because each and every Disney game is squarely aimed at the young and casual markets.

There’s one very big reason why you shouldn’t pirate games – if you get caught it could literally destroy your life. Just ask James Burt, who is facing a bill from Nintendo for $1.4 million Australian dollars ($1.2 million U.S.) after he copied and leaked Super Mario Bros. Wii on to the Internet last year.
