Sony: PS3 supply to remain tight until late Spring
The PS3 continues to be hot in demand despite a supply shortage. It appears that Sony is unable to crank out PS3s fast enough to meet the current level of demand. This can be frustrating to those expecting to get their hands on God of War III.
Earlier last month I ran a story about the PS3 shortage where Patrick Seybold, Senior Director of Corporate Communications stated that the holiday demand carried over into the new year. He also noted that demand is “tremendously high for the PS3†and that Sony expects tight inventory in the coming months.
During my February NPD analysis, I noted that supply still seemed to be tight as all three major retailers (Amazon, EBGames, Best Buy) were showing the PS3 out of stock. Despite the shortage, Sony managed to shift 360k units  (up 30 percent) in the U.S. last month, which is still pretty impressive.
I reached out to Seybold to get an update on the situation and to see when the supply will free up.
Seybold stated:
We expect the tight inventory to loosen up later in Spring.
Since we only have two more months before spring officially ends, it seems like there is a good chance supply may free up sometime next month.

If you still don’t have a PS3 or a PS3 to play God of War III. Then your are obviously the one to blame for not having one. I know Sony will somehow manage to meet the high demand for PS3. From now on PS3 is going like PS1 and PS2 to break the 100 million trend they started. Sony is on a stampede if you get on their way they will povorise your ass, Sony’s finally knocking out Microsoft outer the business about fucking time. People have finally notice Xbox 360 is not worth buying thank god.

When two huge franchises are released simultaneously – God of War III & FFXIII there will be huge demand for the PS3. I feel this will carry over until April for the PS3.

Microsoft=Scared as hell. They out sold its competitors because their demand was so high it gave them a shortage. And since no one was buying their console they had a lot of unsold units they got lucky.

I see Sony have taken a leaf out of the Nintendo book of marketing – chapter one: improve desirability by restricting accessibility. Works like a charm every time. MS seem to prefer the Mac Donalds route – make dozens of “limited” editions and sell as cheap as possible.

I’ve heard from an insider as well, and he said by later this month.
Something about a part inside that needed to be changed, followed by a Chinese holiday for a whole week, but the shipment has left China as of now.

Twisted Metal was pretty easy to play. Oh i don’t the series i own them on PS1 disc plus UMD. The reason i want David Jaffe to make something else is because TM will most likely be a sleeper since is just cars in HD destroying each other online i know it will be a lot of fun but David can do something like a new IP. But what ever i will still buy it like i will God of War III i just won’t play it much because i like shooter FPS and third person. I’m currently drooling over SOCOM 4 and Medal of Honor. EA’s first game i would actually like. My favorite PS3 game top 3.
