Heavy Rain DLC priced and dated
Heavy Rain is a game that seems to have split opinion. Some love the innovative gameplay, the graphic adventure style, and the gorgeous visuals. Others think it’s boring as hell. Those in the latter camp need not read on, as they definitely won’t be interested in the Heavy Rain DLC on its way.
The Heavy Rain DLC is called The Taxidermist and ha already been given away free to anyone who pre-ordered the game. It’s going to be available to the rest of us from April 1 and cost $4.99. Which is a pretty reasonable asking price.
According to Spong, Sony describes the first DLC as follows:
The Taxidermist chapter provides an additional back story to Heavy Rain and features one of the main characters from Heavy Rain, journalist Madison Paige, on one of her early leads from her investigation into the Origami Killer.
In a similar manner to the unique, cinematic gameplay style of Heavy Rain, you will play Madison, and be presented with a number of tense situations and decisions, as she digs further into the case, which of course, will determine one of many different outcomes.
So in essence, more of the same. Whether you think that’s a good thing or not depends whether you like the game as a whole or not. All I know is that I’m already seeing a good deal of pre-owned copies in my local games outlets. Which doesn’t bode well for Quantic Dream making a mint from the DLC. Of which there will undoubtedly be more.

Not bad i would wait to see other people thought. $5 damn i hope is long as hell if not i will not buy it. This is just something taking out to add as DLC this game can have endless DLC. Which is not a thing if they are good enough plus long.

The first time through the Taxidermist took about an hour, subsequent playthroughs much shorter. There are 5 possible outcomes to that mini-chapter.
I played it because it was free. Not long enough to warrant $5 imo, and I LOVE the freakin game, heh.

I see a great deal of used copies of Mass Effect 2 as well. It probably means, like Heavy Rain, there were a lot sold and therefore a lot returned. Hardly a benchmark for quality. Single player games….

here are my thoughts about the all the different weapon/abilities in GoW3
-Blades of Exile: Awesome as always, the roll is a must. its magic rocks
-Claw of Hades: useless for the most part, its magic was a waste of green orbs. its dodge move was kind of slow
-Nemean Cestus: awesome metal gloves that can kill most enemies with a single hit or send them with a blow from is punch, Magic was good enough to kill huge beats. its dodge move was short and not as effective as the roll
-Nemesis Whip: one of the best weaping created in a GoW game, this whip-claw charged with electricity can handle a massive amount of enemies with no problem, its magic rocks to build combos. its dodge move was the same as the metal gloves.
-Bow of Apollo: great to take down enemies from the distance
-Head of Helios: great for dark places and to stun enemies
-Boots of Hermes: Useless imo

Wow if you have 20 bucks you can buy 20 PSP games on Amazon the only thing is that shipping is usually no matter what $3.99 or a bit more. The day i got MLB 06 The Show used like new.

I just looked at EB and they have one used HR and 3 used ME2. No FF13 for PS3 and I didn’t notice any FF13 for the 360.

I found them very handy for the guys that drop into the floor. It pulls them out and lets you smash the crap out of them.
I did use them more then the Blades.

I used them most of the time after I got them. I just loved smashing the enemies. I found it a pain to open chests with them on.

These were ok but I didn’t use them much and you get them very late in the game.

Agreed. Useless other then for distance. That is why I didn’t get the trophies for it yet.

When you jump up and hit directional it’s an in air dodge. Very effective to avoid certain characters. I used it for the hades spider towards the end of game that came out with the exploding wolves and satrys…

I used to play alot of Suvival mode, but once those Juggernauts started showing up it was all over.
the ‘capture the flag’ type of game was alot of fun.

thanks for the the explanation…my point is that most 360 used 360 games are scratched, it can be a small scratch or scratched to shit…but it is nonetheless “sctrached”……while PS3 games don’t get scratched so easily

They weren’t scratched as they rubbed right off with a cloth.

with bluray you can leave fairly large scratches with a knife and the disc usually will still play.
