GTA IV DLC comes to PS3 & PC
Xbox 360 owners can no longer brag of having exclusivity on the Grand Theft Auto 4 DLC, as both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are now available on both the PS3 and PC as well. And about time too.
There was some consternation among PS3 and PC gamers when it was announced that the GTA IV DLC would be exclusively available on the Xbox 360. However, it turned out to only be a timed exclusive, and Rockstar has announced that the two Episodes from Liberty City are now available on the rival platforms.
Gamers who are still interested in buying the extra episodes can either download them via PSN or Games for Windows-LIVE, or buy a physical copy of the two together on one disc. The former requires a copy of the game, while the latter does not.
Both episodes are highly rated and well worth playing. However, so many games have been released since GTA IV that there’s a danger that no one will actually bother to go back and play these additional stories. And if that’s the case, Rockstar needs to consider whether the timed exclusivity deal was worth their while.

Now that everyone seen what this DLC are everyone will buy them since they are also being released like a full length game. Rockstar Games made a huge mistake by releasing this as DLC this is worth $60 each DLC it should had been better for them if they were to release this as full game. Also Microsoft timed exclusive deal hurt everyone especially Microsoft.
Microsoft thinks exclusive DLC is going to help them survive the beating Sony has been given them. But is actually helping Sony instead. Microsoft just keeps wasting millions on Xbox 360 ads which do nothing for sale and DLC that no one bothers to download. And Sony is getting all that better and free with high sales. Xbox 360 is never even close to being on the top 50 of Amazon best seller list while Sony’s PS3 is always in the top 5. This DLC will sell way better on PS3 because people know what they getting.
Microsoft is only betting on HALO and Gears of War plus Mass Effect and Left 4 Dead. So is better in 100+ exclusives not just 4 or 5. I can’t to see those game going multiplatform. EA is not going to left Microsoft have Mass Effect for ever that’s a fact. Valve either they will eventually release Left 4 Dead on PS3. EPIC GAMES also. That’s why Sony likes owning all their IP because is better owning your future then having Some other companies have your fate decided for you.

Japan Studio and Team Ico are two different studios.
Some people here almost have me convinced that the Ballad of Gay Tony is worthy of a purchase. I may check it out, depending on what I can get to and back catalog.

It’s definitely confusing as to the way you are writing it. The way you put it, one would believe that the people behind the last guardian (team ico) is the ones behind ape escape, which simply isn’t true.
It would be like saying the people behind uncharted 2 made god of war 3.
Anyway. It’s not too important to the topic and no longer worth my time.

Japan Studio and Team Ico are two different studios handling their own games. I think because Team Ico is a smaller development team they have to heavely rely on Japan Studios.

I also think they use the name Japan Studio for games published in Japan. Ie: Demon’s Souls was made by From Software, but had the Japan Studios at start up.

So ICO falls under SCEJ. Not all SCEJ is ICO though. It looks like they also outsource development (White Knight and Demon’s Souls).

Problem is Cad I’ve yet to play any DLC I would consider a system seller. DLC is best bought fresh before the game gets old, Fallout3 DLC would have been a day one buy for me as it came out(oddly I bought this on Ps3 not PC), but a year after release the game has usually becomes stale for me so it isn’t purchased.
As for “real gamers” you have yet to buy a ps3 or dare I say PC. I highly recommend to everyone to own both consoles(forget about the wii for now).

It’s a year old DLC for a four year old game. Plus they are charging more than the 360 version. Why on earth would anyone buy it? It’s not like theirs not a lot of good games out at the moment either.
Also I agree with Roma, DLC is not a system seller. M$ wasted a ton of money on this timed exclusive deal and learned that the hard way.

If you’ve played GTA 4 and thought that story line wasn’t great/GTA-ish then Gay Tony would probably be a decent purchase. It gets back to Vice City style GTA. Of course the cars still handle like crap but the characters/plot are good. It also throws you right into the game without the ‘build up’ to the bigger and better missions. Down side is that its a tad short, but its an addon so I guess that’s expected.

I bet you people so damn cheap that if Sony was to announce UNCHARTED 3 and Killzone 3 as DLC for $15 to $20 masquerading to see what people say you will say is too much.
Grand Theft Auto DLC is way longer then most if not all entire games. This is a full package that should had been better release as two full games.
This is the dream DLC. $20 for this is fucking cheap in price.
