Kaz “never satisfied” with Gran Turismo
I think we may finally have found out the reason why the release of Gran Turismo 5 is taking so damn long. Because Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi is “never satisfied” with any of the games.
It must be a pain in the arse being a perfectionist. Luckily, it’s not something I have to deal with, and if I were of that persuasion I certainly couldn’t blog for a living. But Yamauchi San, the brains behind the Gran Turismo games, is a perfectionist. Which, while making the games incredible to play, mean they take an age to arrive.
According to CVG, Kaz recently told PSM3 how it will feel to finally finish GT5, saying:
I’d probably be relieved [to finish development] in terms of having fulfilled my responsibilities, but I may be angry at the same time. As it has been with all of the releases so far, I’m never fully satisfied with what I create.
But you have to let go at some point, right? And I think the time to let go has arrived. PS3 gamers, and fans of the series alike, are getting tired of waiting. Just release the damn game already!

This is news LMFAO. We are not tired of waiting we got so many games we can hardly keep up and the reason the games delayed was because Sony had too many games coming out too fast. So they move GT5 because of that and also to make it a bit better.

You are a fuckin moron. Sony did not delay it for that reason. They would delay a lot of the other games including GOW3 before they did it to GT5.

It´s fine to be perfectionist but one have to be careful with this train of thhought. Resources are not unlimited and an overly extended proyect could gobble them up. That´s what happened with Duke Nukem Forever. Fortunely, GT5 has a release date.

I had read a decent article a few months ago about it.
Basically the guy who does the voice of Duke had confirmed that a Duke game is still in development.
Now this is probably the same DNF that has eluding gamers for 12 years, but is being worked on by a new company.
I am a fan of the Duke Nukem games and I still do hope for DNF to be released.
There will probably be sightings of it here and there.. like the Dukeness monster or Nukemsquatch…

I did play Dark Sector as well. I don’t think this game was as bad as people made it out to be. I never actually played Beowulf but they are selling this game for $7.99 now.
