It seems like DRM is the big topic today. Earlier reports of an unannounced implementation of a new DRM system for Final Fight: Double Impact has been confirmed. However, the new DRM seems to only apply to the PS3 version of the game.

Ubisoft’s ultimate DRM strategy has been criticized by many as it forces gamers to be connected to an authentication server in order to play the game. However, it appears that hackers have been able to circumvent Ubisoft’s DRM.

Xbox 360 owners had better make the most of the forthcoming Halo: Reach, because it’s going to be the last Halo game for a while, at least from Bungie. Possibly ever. But never say never.

I think we may finally have found out the reason why the release of Gran Turismo 5 is taking so damn long. Because Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi is “never satisfied” with any of the games.

Microsoft, during its X10 conference revealed that the Xbox 360 would get an exclusive DLC for Dead Rising 2 called CASE ZERO. Not much information was revealed around this DLC. However, Shack News was able to get a hold of some details.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is set to launch June 8, which is right around the corner. The game has been reviewed by Famitsu and the score is surprising given the history of the magazine.

A recent study conducted by research firm The Diffusion Group revealed that over 78 percent of PS3 owners in the U.S. were connected online. The study also revealed that approximately 73 percent of Xbox 360 owners were connected. Microsoft is disputing the study claiming that it’s misleading.

Splinter Cell: Conviction dropped recently onto retail shelves. The game garnered positive reviews from various media outlets. Conviction also managed to hit number one currently in the U.K. This is fantastic news for Ubisoft as things are looking good so far for this long awaited title.

In the latest episode of Pulse with the lovely Christina Lee, it was revealed that the Playstation store update would move from Thursdays to Tuesdays. Traditionally the Xbox 360 gets the bulk of the updates on Wednesday one day earlier than the PS3. Could this be Sony’s attempt to push out the latest demos first?
