Google to offer full 3D games that can run off the Web browser
Earlier today Google unveiled the new Chrome Web Store at its I/O conference. The Web Store will carry a slew of video games which will all be browser-based apps.
It’s exciting to see Google pushing the power of HTML5, which is said to be next big thing. HTML5 offers CPU-accelerated Web browsing experience unlike anything seen before. Google recently demonstrated this technology by porting Quake 2 to run on a new HTML5 Web browser.
The game runs at over 30fps without a hitch straight from your Internet Web browser. Just a few years ago it was unimaginable that we would be able to run full blown 3D games straight off the Web browser.
Some of the games that will be available on the Chrome Web Store will be a port of LEGO Star Wars and Plants Vs. Zombies. Don’t expect games that look as good as titles on your Xbox 360 or PS3, but its definitely signs of things to come.

Google is trying to move to every business. They want to be the first company to achieve the impossible. Soon you will see Google food, Google Medicine this one will happen because one of Sergey’s wife already does it. I saw the video this is PS1 tech good for a web browser. But i hope they make it compatible with Firefox the best internet browser in the entire globe.

Because the internet has been developed for this many years for IE standards, IE is better for browsing. It is not going to adapt to Firefox for a long time if at all. As a web developer myself I don’t bother with other browsers. Mainly because everyone has to use IE in the Gov. It pisses me off updating Firefox every week. And the stupid download history box is sooooo fucking annoying. It is my main reason for not using it. Not the only one. Just let me choose a download spot and disappear after the download is done for fuck sakes.

Internet Explorer is pure trash. My whole family uses Firefox. They have Internet Explorer but i told them not to use it because it horrible.
I like how Firefox lets you do basically everything you want like customize it has awesome add-ons too.
Chrome is good but is basically a Firefox wannabe. I do still love Google is my homepage in everything that i have that has a web browser.

I’m using Chrome at the moment, but for a long time I used a browser called Maxthon.
Did everything you could ask for. It was stable, secure, etc etc and I thought it was much than Firefox.

You guys are all dumb asses.
An internet browser has one simple goal: let you surf the web like you want it to.
Internet explorer = pure slow, awful at loading speed, runs ActiveX stuff (if you actually like activeX, you can go suicide honestly.) and plainly sucks because you can’t customize it.
Firefox = was pretty fast back in the days, now is starting to become a fatter and fatter browser, especially when you keep adding add-ons and so on. Nonetheless, its use is extremely easy, fun, reliable and fast.
Chrome = I simply never liked that browser, even though it worked correctly, it has nothing outstanding, simply features that come from firefox + safari.
Safari = Shit, cuz it comes from Apple (I’m NOT a Microsoft fanboy, but Apple simply sucks.)
Opera = The one that impressed me the most, considering its very very fast speed. It’s also very good looking imo, and it runs just fine. Haven’t had the time to check about customization or compatibility with site but meh.
PS: Internet explorer is NOT safe. Can’t live with updating? Sure then, get hacked by a backdoor in your web browser, jerk.

I never use IE.
Once my firefox has all my add-ons installed, and Xmarks is refreshed, I need nothing else. But I do admit to preferring chrome with Video, as GPU flash support seems much more significant in chrome than IE or Firefox. Could be due to less overheard, I dunno.
I will never support long term browser based games. It’s just another version of OnLive, cloud based gaming is bullshit. Say goodbye to reselling and borrowing, and say hello to being at the mercy of your ISP for EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF YOUR GAMING EXPERIENCE. For those of you outthere who have problems with online play due to your connection, imagine if your single player had the same issues. For the Love of god, fight the cloud!

I like the Internet as it is really. How can you get online to download a browser without a browser in the first place. I know there are ways but the average user wouldn’t know how to do it. I bet 70% of the people online wouldn’t know how to install firefox anyway. IE may be bloated but I like how it comes with the OS. not for me but for all the idiot users. Firefox has its share of bugs and most people (like me) are to dam lazy to look for plug-in. Besides that the plug-in updates are fucking annoying. Like I said, If you stay away from porn, hacking, and freeware sites you wont have any problems. I have virus scanners and use the net all the time and never have problems. I know the porn sites are Ivans only change to see tities but for everyone else they are just gravy.

Anyways back to topic: my post was made through a power user point of view. Most users are very dumb and can’t even install anything. These are the types of people that get stuck with a toolbar-bloated IE. Trust me, I know of that because I work as a computer technician as a side-job.
And to those saying Chrome is fast, I see no difference between Chrome and Opera. Opera might even be faster in fact… And i see no one talking about Opera here which clearly means everyone is greatly misinformed.
PS: I haven’t been using an anti-virus for at least 2 years and never got a single virus/malware. Viruses are clearly for noobs.

The only reason it has increased popularity is because it comes from Google, and as most people (like me) have google.com (.ca in my case) as homepage, they see ads for chrome, also there are ads on youtube since Youtube is google property.
It’s obvious that with an ad that says “faster” dumb users will accept and use it without saying anything.
Anyways, any browser surpasses IE, which is why users will not complain when they switch to chrome. That doesn’t mean that chrome is the best, you need to compare ALL web browsers available to see the “best” or the one that suits you the most. For me, Firefox is still number 1 for me, but I might switch to Opera if Firefox gets on my nerves on its new version.

Lol? Stereotype? Sure, if you knew me in real you wouldn’t even dare to talk to me like this. All my clients are extremely satisfied with my work AND attitude. I always explain the basics of computers to people interested and show them very helpful tips and tricks on how to stay safe on computers and to customize everything to their own need to make their computer more productive for them.
and yes I call my dentist a noob AT COMPUTERS. And I am right, because he can barely use one. But my dentist is still very good at his job and we’re friends anyways…
