Play Pacman free on Google homepage

May 21, 2010

Pacman is 30-years-old today. And to celebrate, the classic arcade game is playable on the Google homepage for 48 hours. Which is, quite frankly, brilliant.

Some games never get old, never look tired, never lose their appeal. And Pacman is one of those games. After first appearing in 1980, Pacman was an ever-present in arcades all over the world, with Namco selling almost 300,000 of the Pacman arcade machines. And now it’s available to play on Google.

Google is forever changing its logo, with Google doodles commemorating certain days, birthdays, or anniversaries. But this is the first time that a Google doodle has actually been playable.

The browser-based version of the game is spot-on. The music is intact, the gameplay is the same as it has always been, and the controls are simple. The other thing that hasn’t changed is that I’m still rubbish at it, unfortunately.

Pacman will not remain on Google for long, so make the most of it and get a few games in while you can. I know I am.

After me LoL PSPISOZ has every PSP game uploaded on Megaupload and many other sites after me that will just be a waste of their money since they won’t accomplish shit by doing that i haven’t uploaded a PSP game in kike a year.
