Devs leaving former Crackdown studio a good thing
There has been a great deal of churn in the video game industry when you consider what has happened in the last six to eight months. Once great studios have either closed down or bought out and developers jumping ship is not a uncommon occurrence these days.
Recently it was revealed that senior developers at Realtime Worlds resigned to go join Ruffian Games. Realtime Worlds developed the first Crackdown game which became pretty popular. Microsoft handed off the development responsibilities to Ruffian Games, a brand spanking new studio, as Realtime Worlds has been busy with All Points Bulletin (APB) with EA.
According to CVG, the developers that went over to Ruffian Games didn’t leave out of malice but wanted to work on console games. I’m sure the fact that they created Crackdown also played some role in their decision.
Crackdown 2, a largely mulitplayer experience and could use more of the original hands that crafted the first game. Expect Crackdown 2 to launch early July.

Crackdown did have a story. Not that Ivan paid any attention since the game was too hard for him.

I got a shitty piece of malware yesterday. Unfortunately it is pretty much unavoidable when one of your usual websites is attacked by ad based malware, that you will get a piece of malware too.
I got my PC clean, no problem, but I figured I would back everything important up and re-load from a disc image backup that I did last time I fixed my PC.
It’s beeen a while so its better this way. It won’t take long to roll back anyway, im just backing stuff up now and doing some spring cleaning on my files.

Well I have to say that 7 is much better than vista no matter how you slice it.
I pretty much use XP everyday, despite having a dual boot machine.
I run both XP and 7 ultimate on here, but I rarely ever use 7.

Somehow I always mess up with the library and I end up having to manually put everything back in and re-create all my playlists… Really pisses me off.
I had created a backup of my library but it dissappeared lmao
Since I have at least 25GB of music files on my PC it takes forever for iTunes to process it all

I purchased an old comic the other day and it showed a Sega (8600?) and a bunch of games. One had two plumber looking dudes. One with blue overalls and red underneath and the other was blue and green. I wonder if Nintendo stole the idea.

I’m not a video game historian, but didn’t Mario Bros. start off as an arcade game? I seem to remember playing it in arcade before Nintendo came about. Maybe Sega released it on arcade first?
