E3 2010: Kojima to announce major PS3 exclusive IP at TGS
According to reports coming out of E3 2010, news of a mysterious IP by Hideo Kojima has been doing the rounds. Apparently, Kojima was set to reveal his new IP at E3 until a last minute change of plans.
CVG is reporting that a senior U.S. publishing source close to the site has revealed that Kojima is set to announce a major PS3 exclusive at the Tokyo Games Show later this year. The source stated that Kojima wanted to show the game at E3, but decided to polish the demo for TGS in September.
The source stated that Kojima wanted “to ensure it’s bulletproof.” With three games out on the show floor: MGS: Peace Walker, MGS: Snake Eater 3DS and MGS: Rising, any new announcement would likely detract from the existing three. Many speculate the new game will be a relaunch of the Zone of the Enders.

Kenichiro Imaizumi said it’s just a rumour.
Although I would not complain with an MGS5. I doesn’t make any sense why they wouldn’t make an MGS5. MGS4 was a big revenue driver for Konami, and I don’t think Rising is going to go anywhere, either on PS3 or 360.

There’s a lot of room in Big Boss’ history.
I hope Rising turns out to be good. I have a feeling it’s going to be the next Final Fantasy XIII though.

judging me the gameplay video from MS’s conferemce…Rising looked more like a Ninja Gaiden game (with some flashy moves) than anything else.
I wonder why Kojima choose to work on other projects instead. is good to know that Kojima is working on a PS3 exclusive game…PS3 exclusive library seems to be getting better and better.

@ ncaissie: You definitely need to play 4 mate. It’s one of the only games I will keep going back to and complete again. Never seen a game series have a better ending, not a single fault with it …it’s making me hard again lol

Yeah, it’s really one of those stories that you have to follow.
Even the older games are still amazing and worth replaying.
The DVD is helpful, but it’s not the same as experiencing it for yourself.

It sucks that we need to wait until September for the Tokyo Game Show.

I’m thinking it will be Peace Walker port with PS3 graphics. Forcing everyone who wants this game to get a PSP sucks.
If not that, then more than likely a Zone of Enders.
