Microsoft: Kinect will be demoed at Macy’s
If you have been craving some hands on time with the new Xbox 360 Kinect, then you may be in luck. Microsoft will be demonstrating the Kinect at select Macy’s locations across the U.S.
Everyone knows that Macy’s is the prime spot to find gamers. This is exactly why Microsoft will be demoing the Kinect at Macy’s and not at a place like EBGames.
I can’t but help feel that Microsoft is shifting a lot of its focus from the hardcore gaming crowd to the casual market. Kinect is a big part of Microsoft’s future, more so than anything else on the Xbox 360 currently.
It looks like the company will be targeting moms at department stores. Gamers can head on over to select Macy’s stores beginning July 15. One good news is that Macy’s will be giving away one Kinect per day between August 12 to September 10 via a website drawing.

Why is it any surprise that Microsoft (or Sony for that matter) is targeting the casual crowd for it’s new motion controllers? Microsoft and Sony already have the hardcore crowd locked up, so they need to appeal to those that haven’t already bought their consoles.

Mike if you think about it they couldn’d do it at EB Games if they wanted to because there is no space at EB Games. Those stores are so tight. I say Toys R Us is a much better place. I kind of understnd the Macy’s move though as It’s guaranted that Macy’s in NY Manhattan will display Kinect.

They already have Gears, Halo, Fable locked down, why not go after the other end of the spectrum? As long as they keep what they have with the same quality I don’t have a problem. Summer of Arcade looks good again this year btw.

I’m not realy into arcade titles.
I would like a steady stream of new and great games. Those games are good but I want fresh, like rdr. That was a great surprise.

I don’t think many of the “core” gamers, like us, care much about the Kinect.
It doesn’t appear that MS is ignoring the core gamers at all, but just trying to bring in a new set of gamers, the “casuals”, by giving them something like what the wii offers.

I beat RDR yesterday. Awsome game… didn’t like the ending as much though.

Well the Gears games are pretty awsome, and I don’t care as much for Halo but alot of people do.
There will be plenty of other games for 360 for the core audience than just Halo, Gears, and Fable.
Who knows… they might even eventually release some games for Kinect that appeal to us. I can’t say that anything currently announced for Kinect interests me.
The family missions are right at the end, so your almost done. I won’t spoil the ending for you.
I still have most of the ambient missions to do. The only one I finished off is the treasure hunting missions. Piece o’ cake.
I had to laugh about the Dastardly achievement/trophy. I dunno if you have it yet but I enjoyed getting it lol. You know how everyonce in awhile you come across an NPC in the world you tries to steal your horse? I had a whore try to steal it once. So I chased her down and hogtied her and left her on the train tracks lmao. Bitch had it commin’

I’m missing quite a few achievements… I doubt i will be getting 100% on this game lmao.
I got 445 of 1100 gamerscore
21 of 58 achievements. Which means PS3 version probably has 59 trophies.
One thing that annoys me if going through all the BS to unlock the outfits. Just alot of requirements there

lol i just finally got the last achievement on bad company 1, now i have 1000gs on bc1, took me somewhere close to 2 years compared to bc2 which took a week or 2 to 100%

does anyone know if kinect has brought out any games that are bsed on war scenarios such as halo3 or any that are like grand theft auto? i feel like were just getting shunted.
I wont be buying a kinect untill there is. pretty poor from microsoft in my opinion (a long time game fanatic).
