Starcraft 2 trailer is epic and didn’t cost $100 million to make
Interest over Starcraft 2 is quickly picking up across the Web as the game is set to release next week. Blizzard released one heck of a trailer for the game and it’s truly epic. The company also clarifies misconceptions of development costs for the game.
The story of Starcraft can be difficult to follow if the last time you touched the game was a decade ago. However, watching the latest trailer for Starcraft 2 should bring back some memories, especially that of Kerrigan.
The game received some mainstream media attention when a publication reported that Blizzard spent $100 million to develop Starcraft 2. According to The Wall Street Journal, Blizzard reached out to correct this mix-up.
According to Blizzard, the company did not spend that much to make the game. Apparently Blizzard’s other popular game, World of Warcraft did in fact cost over $100 million to make. It does make some sense as MMORPGs are usually expensive. Unfortunately, Blizzard refuses to answer questions about additional modifications.

Ncaissie,
Family is more important then anything. I’m not married and I don’t have any kids yet so I can go crazy on buying games. I just found out that Gamestop is having a blow out sale. I’m going later to pick up a few games. They are selling new games like Assassin’s Creed 2 for $19.99, G0W3 for $29.99, Darksiders for $19.99 and so on. I know I will be getting Assassin’s Creed 2. I’ve been wanting to check this game out.

I youtubed a gameplay clip and was completely surprised by how shit it looks compared to the trailer! I was expecting a Mass Effect type game but instead I got a dated RTS …I’ll give it a miss. The trailer is massively misleading.

I’m looking forward to it too, but sadly I can’t afford it right now. Bills are way too tight right now. I might sell some games off though and then get SC2 lol
July 25th, 2010
Oh well.. At least I have more time to try and finish up SC: Brood War lol
July 25th, 2010
I need time to play.
July 26th, 2010
Heh, I actually haven’t yet finished it yet either.
July 26th, 2010
I will eventually LMAO
SC itself wasn’t so hard but Brood War… WOW! Some stages can only be beaten with a certain strategy… the difficulty just gets ramped up to an unbelievable level
