TerRover looks pretty good.
September 8th, 2010
Yeah it does, I got Castle Crasher last week so TerRover is going to have to wait.
Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes (whatever this game is) was at top in sales when it was released in Japan and Europe. This game was made by the producers of the Devil May Cry series.
I’ll be downloading GoW: GoS and Warhawk (PS1) today.
Quantum Theory – This game had potential (Gears of War clone) but Japanese devs always have to mess something up. No co-op mode???
September 8th, 2010
I’ll give Quantum theory some time. It looks like it could be good. Even if it gets piss poor reviews it could also be the Dantes Inferno factor occurring again.
September 8th, 2010
Yeah the critics are going to have a field day with Quantum Theory. Even if it is decent, it’s going to get slammed as a Gears clone.
Oh and the RE5 DLC bundle is on sale for $6.00. It’s tempting, but I’d like to know how long the 2 episode actually are.
September 8th, 2010
@BJ
If you’re going to get The gold edition for Move, don’t bother with DLC as it will be included.
Yeah Quantum theory will take shit regardless if it’s good or not.
Has anyone played Dark Sector?
It’s $5 on Amazon right now. Twilight. Pick this up. Definitely worth the asking price (just no trophies as it’s that old)
September 8th, 2010
I bought the Force Unleashed ($13) with my blorge.net reward.
The problem with Quantum Theory is that they don’t have co-op (split-screen or online) but the it has an extra AI character during the whole game.
September 8th, 2010
@Roca
Awesome. Force unleashed was great. The controls take some time to get used to. For the most part, many encounters can be won by force gripping someone followed by lighting, followed by slamming them into their fellow troopers.
That sucks about QT not having Co-op at all. You’d think that if they’re going to clone Gears they might as well do it right.
Eastern developers. ouch….
September 8th, 2010
LOL yeah they left out the beast Gears feature lol. That’s going to come back to bite them.
The Force Unleashed 2 trailer looked amazing, it grabbed my interest right away, that’s why I picked up the first one.
September 8th, 2010
beast = best*
September 8th, 2010
Phranctoast and Roca,
I have to check out the Force Unleashed. I just completed God Of War 3. This game is one of the greatest games I have ever played. The graphics and gameplay are amazing. Like Bayonetta, God Of War 3 is all I ever dreamed of in a video game.
September 8th, 2010
@Twilight
Check out Dark Sector for a unique Gears like clone.
Dantes Inferno will also hold you over well. It’s a great GOW clone.

September 8th, 2010
@Roca
“more and newer ads”
We already know about Mike’s Blatant PS3 ad campaign thats going on here.
September 8th, 2010
Liquid,
Fear 3 is due out later this year.
Phranctoast,
I wil have to check out Dark Sector. I always wondered about this game. I did already check out Dante’s Inferno. I just haven’t finished the game yet.
September 8th, 2010
@Mike
I agree with Fahkin.
If there’s going to be a PSN-Tuesday weekly, I see no reason why there shouldn’t be a XBL-Wednesday….
September 8th, 2010
@phranc
” I see no reason why there shouldn’t be a XBL-Wednesday….”
You mean other than the fact that Mike appears to be biased?
September 8th, 2010

-More PSN news.*
iOS Dungeon Hunter gets HD remake for PS3′s PSN.
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/08/dungeon-hunter-gets-hd-remake-for-ps3/
“Gameloft is porting yet another one of its iOS games to the PS3 for release on PlayStation Network. Dungeon Hunter, a classic hack-and-slash adventure is getting an HD remake exclusively for Sony’s console. According to GamerBytes, the PS3 version features a “dramatic artistic makeover” over the iPhone original, inviting comparisons to Torchlight.
In addition to new visuals, the PS3 version of Dungeon Hunter will boast four player cooperative multiplayer, both online and off, making it one of Gameloft’s most ambitious PSN games yet. Get a glimpse of the iPhone original after the break.”
I really didn’t like it on the iPhone but I really has issues with the controls more than anything. Like Critter Crunch before it, maybe the move to a console with a decent control scheme for these types of games will help. If anything, it should hold people over that are waiting for Diablo 3, Dungeon Siege 3, Neverwinter…etc.
September 8th, 2010
Terover is stupid.
September 8th, 2010
Liquid,
Probably.I’ve been following this game as well.
September 8th, 2010
I LOVE F.E.A.R.!!! That game fucken ROCKS dude!!!!
September 8th, 2010
“” I see no reason why there shouldn’t be a XBL-Wednesday….”
You mean other than the fact that Mike appears to be biased?”
You guys are crazy. XBL isn’t even finished with its updates yet and your already harassing me.
Major Nelson doesn’t even have a full list up yet.
September 8th, 2010
FEAR 2 is one of my favorite shooters.
September 8th, 2010
“Major Nelson doesn’t even have a full list up yet.”
I was going to say the same earlier but I wasnt sure. PSBlog list every single new content on the PS Store every week so that’s why it’s easier for some to make a story out of it.
even online I find “PSN Store updates” news more than I find XBL marketplace news. Their Summer lineup was the last time I recall hearing about any XBL updates
September 8th, 2010
What’s happened to twilight anyway? I thought she was very out spoken against the PS3 but she seem’s to say some very nice things about the games lately lol.
September 8th, 2010
How do you download PS1 Warhawk? I tried to within the Qore download section and couldn’t find it… do you have to subscribe to Qore separately from PSN Plus?
September 8th, 2010
“Qore Episode 28: September 2010 – Contains free original Warhawk PSOne classic”
September 9th, 2010
I thought you got Qore with PSN+….
September 9th, 2010
You do, but I still can’t find “free original Warhawk PSOne classic” within it as it says here.
September 9th, 2010
Roca’s having problems posting:
From Roca to CarlB:
“Tell carlb with get Qore monthly issues with PSN+ but we don’t’ get any Qore ‘subscriber’ bonuses.”
September 9th, 2010
Oldschool,
Lol. Considering I own one, how biased can I possibly be? The fact is that the Ps3 has some great games.
September 9th, 2010
“Roca’s having problems posting:”
Roca got banned! lmao
September 9th, 2010
Unfortunately Mike never added a XBL story for its updates, so for lack of a better place to put this story I felt that this was a decent place.
We all know how Gabe Newell has bad mouthed the PS3 in the past and even called it “A waste of everyones time”…
Well Gabe is at it again only this time ripping into XBL.

“Valve: Xbox Live ‘such a train wreck’
Thursday 9-Sep-2010 4:00 PM We failed in assuming MS would change online service, says Newell
Valve boss Gabe Newell has called his company’s assumptions over Xbox Live “such a train wreck”.
Speaking to our colleagues at PC Gamer in its recently-published interview, Newell said one of Valve’s failures over the years was to assume that Microsoft would improve Xbox Live so it could update its games regularly for free.
When asked if its mistake on Xbox Live was to assume Microsoft would let Valve update its games more often, Newell said:
“We thought that there would be something that would emerge, because we figured it was a sort of untenable… Oh yeah, we understand that these are the rules now, but it’s such a train wreck that something will have to change.
“That’s why we’re really happy with the current situation with the PS3,” he said. “We’re solving it now in a way that is going to work for our customers, rather than assuming something is going to emerge later that will allow us to fix this.”
Microsoft has a notoriously closed approach to its online service compared to PSN, with developers allowed as little as one free title update (though there are exceptions) and limitations on the amount of free game content they can release.
In fact, in its recent paid-for Red Dead Redemption add-on Rockstar included all the free-of-charge content from its previous Free Roam pack, “due to the platform network’s restrictions on numbers of free packs we can give away.”
Valve told CVG last month that it’d love to put its Steamworks dev suite on Xbox Live, but Microsoft seemingly isn’t budging.
Valve’s Erik Johnson echoed Newell’s comments: “The lack of updates on the 360, for TF2, is also a total failure,” he said. “Those are the ones that sting the worst because… it got all the way through to customers. It’s like a bug. If you fix a bug before it ever ships, it’s pretty cheap. If you ship it and then fix it, it’s really expensive. Those ones are really bad.”
In particular It’s a huge turnaround for Newell, a man who once called PS3 “a waste of everybody’s time” – something for which he later apologised for to owners of the console.”
September 9th, 2010
I figured that might be the problem phranc, thank roca and thank you for posting his confirmation.
September 10th, 2010
@phranc
” I see no reason why there shouldn’t be a XBL-Wednesday….”
That is because XBL sucks ass. It doesn’t deserve to be mentioned at all.
September 10th, 2010
@ncaissie
I know that but isn’t it funny to point and laugh at their crappy XBL releases weekly?
September 10th, 2010
their weekly release is mostly ads for you user interface…what a mess I tell ya
September 10th, 2010
LOL
September 10th, 2010
XBL indies look ghetto to Minis by comparison.
XBL Gold doesn’t have any free games.
A good amount of the XBL exclusives that are worth a damn come over to PSN anyway.
Microsoft needs to make XBL relevant again (since PSN and PSN plus made it irrelevant), then maybe they’ll rate more coverage.
