Valkyria Chronicles 3 confirmed… for PSP
Valkyria Chronicles 3 is on its way. Hooray! It’s only being released on the Playstation Portable. Boo!
We knew it was coming, so that’s not a surprise. But there was a chance, with many hopes attached, that Valkyria Chronicles 3 would be a PS3 game. Unfortunately that isn’t the case, with Sega instead deciding to stick with the PSP as the Valkyria Chronicles series’ spiritual and actual home.
The first Valkyria Chronicles game on the PS3 was a bit of a sleeper hit that many people have only discovered fairly recently. Unfortunately the damage had been done by then, with poor sales meaning Sega switched the sequel to the PSP instead.
There were intense calls for the third game to once again be a Playstation 3 title, but Valkyria Chronicles 3: Unrecorded Chronicles has now been confirmed as a PSP-only game which will be released in Japan on Jan. 27, 2011.
I suspect I’m not the only one disappointed at the news. The game sounds great, but I cannot get excited about it like I would have if it were being released on the PS3.
Sega, you always manage to disappoint me. Just tell me why it has to be that way?

I played the demo mate, I thought it was very good. Graphics are dated but it does have to go on the 360 as well so I can see why but the gameplay is spot on. Day one for me. Uncharted clone but that’s not a bad thing at all.

It is an Uncharted clone, plays very similar, the platforming elements.

I also played a good demo last night. I don’t recall the name but at one point you can through this chick at your enemies and she kills them.
Vanquish I think.

I screwed up my Prince of Persia Platinum.
I missed one Sarcophagus, and once the game saves you can’t load a previous part, as the saved part is the most recent (There’s only a ‘continue’ option in title screen).
I’m more than 3/4 through. That kind of blows. Other than that, it’s been a great game so far. If you enjoyed past POP games this one won’t disappoint. In fact some of the platforming is downright difficult with all the possibilities they can throw at you..
Anyway..
