Sony and LG at it again: ordered to seize thousands of PS3s
Sony and LG have been locked in suits over alleged patent infringements. The civil court of justice in the Hauge has granted LG a temporary injunction ordering PS3 shipments coming into the U.K. and some parts of Europe to be held.
As reported by the Guardian, a court ruling has granted LG a preliminary injunction against Sony for new PS3 shipments to be held for at least 10 days. The dispute is over some patient disagreements with Sony’s use of some technology in the PS3’s Blu-ray player.
The patent infringement seems to stem from the way the PS3 streams multiple read-only data sources. It sounds like it could be a software code or codec related patent dispute.
Oddly enough this alleged patent infringement only applies to the PS3 and none of Sony’s other Blu-ray players. Retailers typically stock about two to three weeks’ worth of PS3s so a temporary seizure of incoming stock probably won’t impact sales.
However, this probably does force Sony’s hand in settling with LG over the patent dispute.
Sony and LG are currently involved in seven separate patent disputes. Sony currently has a request out for an injunction against LG to block shipments of LG smartphones to the U.S.
I wouldn’t be surprised if LG bargains to drop the suit if Sony was willing to drop the smartphone suit against the company.

Bet sony still include them in their “official” shipped figures. Ha ha.
So LG are stopping ps3rds being sold and sony are stopping LG phones being sold. Whoopee doo. No one will miss them off the shelves.
March 1st, 2011
LG made phones? Yeah, no one will miss that.
March 1st, 2011
As a company LG is a dissapointment, and their friggin phones are piss poor.
When I upgraded my last cellphone I pretty much had to get an LG and I hate it. I wanted a Samsung by I had little choice.
Fuck LG. Sony should put them in their place
March 1st, 2011
LG & Samsung are really similar
I have a Samsung phone, my wife has the LG, there are all but identical, same with the TVs, I have 2 Samsung and one LG and they are almost identical, in both hardware and software.
The TVs even share almost identical model numbers . .I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the same company.
As for this news. .these corporations are always suing each other blind. .it’s just the way things are.

@Godless
You might be on to something, both LG and Samsung are from South Korea.. But Samsung produce better quality products while LG produce cheap ass shits.
March 1st, 2011
Yeah, I would agree, Samsung are better.
Though I would rate LG a little better than “Cheap ass shit”. . lOL

People are going to freak and the 2-3 weeks of PS3′s in Europe will last 1 week.

I might have exaggerated a little but the top players in the TV marker are Sony, Samsung and Panasonic, followed by LG, Vizio and Sharp.
Sony – Known for cutting-edge TVs and TV designs, Sony is the leader when it comes to high end TVs. Sometimes are a lil pricey. Sony was the largerst TV maker until recently..Now is the 2nd largerst
Sansumg – Known for balancing quality with affordability. Samsung is now the world’s largest TV maker.
Panasonic – Known for producint the best and cheaper Plasma TVs. They are also one of the best TV manufacturer along with Sony and Samsung.
LG, Vizio and Sharp are good but not quite there with the top TV manufacturers. This ones are at the bottom in quality, features, innovation and design:
Hitachi, Insignia , JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Polaroid, Sanyo, ViewSonic & Westinghouse
March 1st, 2011
Actually samsung and sony are more “alike”, sony owns about 34% iirc of sanding, samsung trades led tech with sony while sony allows samsung to use sonys massive manufacturing plants
one of Sony’s smarter moves this decade

I love my bravia
March 1st, 2011
I won’t by Sony TV’s anymore. The last issue I had with a part that no longer was serviced as they didn’t make it anymore occurred within 5 years of having the TV.
March 1st, 2011
Most TV’s are disposable now days. Except the $2,000+ ones like the Bravias.
March 1st, 2011
Yeah. It was a $1700 TV.
March 1st, 2011
I hope that doesn’t happen to mine.
If so I’ll go with another projector.
March 1st, 2011
It was an older rear projection TV. One of the parts in the color wheel went, it was a well known issue, and they stopped making the part so I couldn’t get it fixed.
March 1st, 2011
Ok.
Mine is a new 52in LCD.
March 1st, 2011
This was prior to LCD’s.
March 1st, 2011
prior to color TVs?

I’m not that old
I did have a Zenith B&W back in the day.

“LG, Vizio and Sharp are good but not quite there with the top TV manufacturers. This ones are at the bottom in quality, features, innovation and design:
Hitachi, Insignia , JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Polaroid, Sanyo, ViewSonic & Westinghouse”
Vizio has only recently come up in the last few years. At first they were making cheap “you get what you pay for” tvs, but they have had an amazing improvement in quality over the last few years while somehow keeping the price down.
I own a 29″ Westinghouse LCD tv. My only problem with it is the fucking HDMI ports give me trouble at times. Other than that ive had the tv for like 2 years now and it works perfectly in every other way. It has a pretty nice picture on it too. Its not a Sony or a Samsung but im happy. I learned the HDMI problem is a little common on my tv model, and I suspect it is because it is one of the earliest Westinghouse tvs with HDMI, so they hadn’t worked out all the bugs yet.
A few months after I got my tv a friend of mine got an LG tv that rivaled my tv in size and specs. His tv broke in 9 months. Piece of shit lmao. I still laugh at him to this day. Only reason he got it was cause he was pissed off and jealous i got an LCD tv lol.
March 1st, 2011
Lucky Goldstar is going to lose to Sony corp, this war is big. So go crush them bitches LG sucks well compare to Sony they do well every company does..
March 1st, 2011
War? You are so stupid.
March 1st, 2011
Hey idiot it’s not Sony vs the world.
March 1st, 2011
Actually Roca– Pioneer makes (made) the best TVs.
In order of best flatscreens (ever) made, by company-
1.Pioneer (The Pioneer Elite is the best plasma TV ever, and Plasmas are better than LCDs)
2.Samsung LED
3.Panasonic Viera
4.Bravias
5.LG (I have an LG 50PS30, and whilst it ain’t the best, it’s a great plasma, and nowhere near shitty.
http://alltvmall.com/50ps30 )
6.Vizio (the only thing crappy about Vizio TV’s is the customer service if your set breaks down. You wouldn’t believe the amount of complaints we got, at best buy, about the customer service Vizio provides.)
7. Pretty much everything else.
LG isn’t as bad as everyone makes them out to be. They still make some of the best fridges out there, and their sound systems consistently rate among the best.
March 1st, 2011
Sony’s XBR was the only TV that could hold a candle to the Elites, but now production of those’re over, and the Bravia line pretty much cannot compete with Panasonic anymore.
And I actually forgot to include Hitachi. Redone, the list looks like this
1.Pioneer
2.Hitachi
3.Samsung (LEDS)
4.Panasonic
5.Sony
6.LG
7.Vizio (again, Vizio is quietly becoming one of the best TV makers in the business. 7th place is great for them)
8.Everything else, from Sharp to off-brands.
p.s. One thing about Sharp though: They are about to begin producing Elites, so they are going to take the number 1 spot.
March 1st, 2011
I know you like to argue for the sake of arguing but putting Pioneer & Hitachi(LMAO) above Sony, Samsung, Vizio and Panasonic is a joke… not even worth arguing. Pioneer doesn’t even make TVs anymore LMAOOOO [http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10162515-1.html]
Sony just won 22 total awards at the ‘IF awards’ including four gold (beat its own previous record)
h**p://discover.sonystyle.com/bravia/#/prologue
Samsung is the leader, following by Sony, Panasonic and Vizio (in the US)
March 1st, 2011
Also, one single TV or TV series doesn’t anyone the best TV manufacturer
March 2nd, 2011
“I know you like to argue for the sake of arguing”
You’re better than that. Don’t drink the Kool-Aid, Roca.
“Pioneer & Hitachi(LMAO) above Sony, Samsung, Vizio and Panasonic is a joke…”
I worked at Best Buy for 3 years, and Magnolia Home Theater department for 2 of those 3 years. I know my shit when it comes to TVs. The joke is that you don’t know Sony TVs are barely in the Magnolia department of Best Buy– there is a reason certain TVs are outside, whilst others are in that department.
“Pioneer doesn’t even make TVs anymore LMAOOOO”
Technically, you are “right”. But these TVs are still being produced– by Pioneer. It’s kind of like how Circuit City went out of business, but still are selling things off their website. But, I never said they still make TVs– I said they produced the best TVs ever made. Allow me to quote myself:
“Actually Roca– Pioneer makes (made) the best TVs.”
See?
“Samsung is the leader, following by Sony, Panasonic and Vizio (in the US)”
Again, Panasonic Vieras and Samsung LEDs consistently rank higher than Sony TVs, especially in the plasma class. That is not to say Sony doesn’t make brilliant TVs; It’s just that other companies have stepped their games up.
“Also, one single TV or TV series doesn’t anyone the best TV manufacturer”
Well what criterion are we using? All I said was that these manufacturers had produced the best TVs… If we are using a per television criteria, then LG and Panasonic have significantly more higher rated televisions than Sony, and Bravias don’t even rank! On a yearly basis! Proof?

@Birdman
Plasma isn’t even worth mentioning. LCDs and LEDs (can’t forget the OLEDs) have been gaining ground over the last few years and still have their advantages over plasma.
Aside from Plasma costing $$$ to purchase, even more $$$ to run, and they run hot, most companies are now dropping plasma tv production.
March 2nd, 2011
there’s no point in arguing about this…good luck with your Pioneer & Hitachi lmao
March 2nd, 2011
“LOL I remember when the VCR came to be.
My dad bought one for over $600.”
Was watching the movie ruthless people and there was a part that they were in a store to watch a video and you caN see the VCR prices back then.
March 2nd, 2011
LOL yeah.
I have to agree with Capt on this one. Pioneer is(Was?) top of the game. Specially when it came to stereos and car stereos. My father use to repair electronics for many years as a profession until they started becoming cheaper to buy then repair. RCA sucked ass and Pioneer was very well made.
March 2nd, 2011
Pioneer still makes stereos, dvd/bluray player, home theater, car steroes, etc. They were just forced out out the TV market.
March 2nd, 2011
I know Pioneer used to be really good, especially with audio equipment. Personally I think their quality is suspect anymore. I bought myself a really nice Pioneer DVD player a few years ago and it broke down in 6 months.
March 2nd, 2011
It has been a while since I had anything Pioneer.
March 2nd, 2011
it’s easy to tell whether the quality of a TV from Pioneer is up there with the likes of Sony, Samsung and Panasonic.
Would you spend more than $1000 on a Pioneer TV or on a Bravia/Samsung?
March 2nd, 2011
Don’t know. I got a sweet deal on my Bravia so I went with it.
March 2nd, 2011
If i had the money, I think I would go for a Samsung tv.
Samsung tvs are quite impressive and are on the leading edge right now.
March 2nd, 2011
Roca– the Pioneer Elites are absolutely the best televisions ever made. You’re laughing at those already laughing at you.
I know the Sony sugar is ridiculously sweet and addictive, but get a grip man! I ask you again– do you work for Sony mate? I’m not flaming or trying to argue, and it’s a genuine question.
“Plasma isn’t even worth mentioning. LCDs and LEDs (can’t forget the OLEDs) have been gaining ground over the last few years and still have their advantages over plasma.”
Fahkin– you’re misinformed. The 1 advantage LCD (yes ONE) TVs have over plasma is cost. But the only reason that is, is because plasmas don’t come smaller than 42″, and in that size class, the prices between LCD, LED, and plasma are evenkill. Sure, the Elite is $6600, but you get what you pay for with that beast. I bought my plasma from Costco when I worked there, and it was $1100 at the time of purchase. We sold 42″ Bravias for near $2K. Remember– my LG is 52″….
Plasma TVs are still the best money can buy. Not mentioning anyone specifically, but you’d be an idiot to buy an LCD over 42″– especially for the living room.
March 2nd, 2011
“My only problem with it is the fucking HDMI ports give me trouble at times.”
@Fahkin
Occasionally, when I switch my PS3 on, it doesn’t recognise the HDMI cable. As a result, I have to put my PS3-TV connection back through a scart lead to be able to see the PS3 output on the screen, just to set the PS3 back to HDMI output. Sooooo annoying.
March 3rd, 2011
@Birdman
“The 1 advantage LCD (yes ONE) TVs have over plasma is cost”
BS
#1 Purchase cost
#2 Running cost
#3 Plasma runs way too hot
#4 Plasma tvs are heavy
#5 Most companies are abandoning plasma
#6 Lifespan of unit
I count 6 in favor of LCD right there
Honestly if i wanted something for my living room it would probably be a top of the line projector and it would be a living room/ home theatre.
@Dans
I was having that problem with HDMI too frequently betwen my PS3 and tv. I said fuck it and bought the component cables. Had the same problem at first but after I got it sorted out its been fine since, and Ive been watching Lost alot streaming it via Netflix/Ps3, and it hasnt happened once.
There is one BIG disadvantage with running a PS3 through component, and this one makes no sense to me whatsoever.
Unless you use an HDMI cable you CANNOT play DVD movies upscaled. This makes no fucking sense to me at all.
March 3rd, 2011
“Plasma TVs are still the best money can buy. Not mentioning anyone specifically, but you’d be an idiot to buy an LCD over 42?– especially for the living room.”
I have a 65″ DLP for $1,000 that says you’re wrong

#7 Burn in.
And here plasmas are a lot cheaper than LCD.
I wouldn’t buy a plasma if it was $5.
March 3rd, 2011
Plasmas do have a better picture though.
But like the Beta Max they are beat out by LCD and now LED.
March 3rd, 2011
I meant like the VCR killed the Beta Max.
March 3rd, 2011
Why are we even talking about a dead player in the TV market?
Birdman, I have been buying TVs pretty much every other year (for the last 8 years. I have yet to own a Sony TV – my money goes to Samsung as they offer good quality TV for less than what a Bravia would cost you.
Plasma cost way less than LCDs and LEDs. so you’re wrong right there. Also, how the Pioneer elite is the best TV ever made when it came out years ago and there are thousands tvs that are better in every way. Has the Pioneer Elite evolved somehow? lol
FahKin seems to know alot more about TVs than you do.
Also LCD is not prone to screen burn-in or ghosting (aging of pixel) due to the nature of its “twisting crystals” technology. If you’re a gamer LCD is the way to go. Leaving the paused for too long can leave a ghosting image on your Plasma (that’s why most PC monitor are LCD). LCD is more energy efficient, smaller and last longer.
March 3rd, 2011
I have 3 Video, 1 component and 4 HDMI connections on my Bravia.
It is only 60Hz and not 3D ready but I don’t care. My next one will be and I’m not in a hurry for 3D
And the picture is so crisp I love it. It’s hard to decide which to play my games on. The crisp LCD of the huge projector which is 1080p.
March 3rd, 2011
“Leaving the paused for too long can leave a ghosting image on your Plasma (that’s why most PC monitor are LCD). ”
Or the 20 minute installs. LOL My dad picked up a cheap plasma and it sucks for that. I have to turn the TV off during a download or install.
March 3rd, 2011
“And the picture is so crisp I love it”
That’s why I heard about the Bravia, the black color on my old 46″ Samsung (60Hz) started aged and was not as black as it once was. Now I have another 46″ Samsung (120Hz) which has not given me any issues, it’s just about a year old. My friend has a Bravia TV (about 4 years old) and the black colors have remained intact.
March 3rd, 2011
Mine is one or two years old now. I don’t recall. Must be two because I got it with my first PS3.
March 3rd, 2011
I love my tv. Sure it could be better (Like a Samsung), but it still has a nice picture and its served me very well for the amount of time that I have had it.
Aside from th stupid HDMI issues I have not experienced any other problems with it.
I wouldnt mind replacing it with a current model Samsung though lol. Maybe 32″ lol
That and I need to get a friggin HD cable box. This SD box I have sucks sometimes.
March 3rd, 2011
For the size, clarity, cost, and upgradeable option to 3D, I’m really happy with my TV. I purchased it Cyber Monday of 2009.
March 3rd, 2011
“Why are we even talking about a dead player in the TV market?”
Roca, Pioneer still produces Elites. And Sharp will be taking the Elite division over. Not really dead in my book.
“#1 Purchase cost
#2 Running cost
#3 Plasma runs way too hot
#4 Plasma tvs are heavy
#5 Most companies are abandoning plasma
#6 Lifespan of unit”
All of which had what to do with picture quality or sound? But I’ll break it down.
#2 The Korean models ( Samsung, LG,) all have energy saving failsafes. My TV is Green (google LG 50PS30 I don’t feel like doing it). Most others companies are becoming energy efficient, and CNet rates that. Non issue.
#3 My friend has a 29″ (I think ) Samsung LCD that runs hot on the edges– hotter than my TV. I remember his TV heating the room once– something my Plasma has never done. Not all Plasmas run hot, and after marathon sessions, my TV remains cool to the touch.
#4 Not sure how this is an advantage for LCD… unless you move your TV around alot, in which case, anything over…say… 42″ is of comparable weight.
#5 Which companies? The forerunners ( Panasonic, Pioneer/ Sharp, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Sony, and Vizio) are all producing 2011 AND 2012 Plasma models, not to mention 3D HDTVs are mostly Plasmas (Sony, LG, Samsung, and Panasonic). Try not to speak wit your ass next time.
#6 Jury is still out. Most newer models are built to last. I’ll get back to you when my TV craps out. In 2031.
To be continued…
March 3rd, 2011
“#7 Burn in”
Damn, you blokes are living in 2006. And I think you mean image retention. Burn in hasn’t been an issue for YEARS. Image retention, though, is overcome with repeated usage– so if you’ve had your Plasma over a month, image retention is non existent.
“Also, how the Pioneer elite is the best TV ever made when it came out years ago and there are thousands tvs that are better in every way. Has the Pioneer Elite evolved somehow?”
OK. Find me a better rated TV than an Elite, and post the link here. I’ll give you a head start– type Pioneer Elite into CNet, then type Sony XBR<<<< that's the closest you'll get.
"FahKin seems to know alot more about TVs than you do."
Kinda just proved he doesn't… He DID say "Most companies are abandoning plasma" LOL. You just wish he knew more….
"I have a 65" DLP for $1,000 that says you’re wrong "
Dude, I said the BEST money can buy. Your TV is kinda average….
http://reviews.cnet.com/projection-tvs/mitsubishi-wd-65737/4505-6484_7-33588548.html
Right now, the best TV money can buy is the Pioneer Elite 1100HD ( yes– 1100 is higher than 1080 lol)
Again, I would recommend you not buy LCDs larger than 42", especially in the living room. You'll have to sit directly in front of the TV in order to see it ( same problem with 3D TVs), because if you look at the TV from a certain angle, it goes black. The picture quality of Plasmas have yet to be matched by LCD or LEDs. I mean, you blokes love talking graphics (Killzone, Uncharted etc) but it seems to me that you haven't really experienced the true beauty of these games, which can only be reproduced in all it's glory — ON A PLASMA.
March 3rd, 2011
there are only a few players using plasma dude. get up to date. FahKin is right and you’re wrong.
Pioneer is dead (in the TV market) dude. Their website doesn’t list any TVs

“there are only a few players using plasma dude. get up to date. FahKin is right and you’re wrong.”
Few players? Are you thick? Pretty much every company that makes LCDs/LEDs makes plasmas….
The best LEDs are made by LG, Vizio, Sony, and Samsung– and Plasmas are these companies’ best TVs. What the hell are you on about?
March 3rd, 2011
Best LEDs– from CNet.
http://reviews.cnet.com/best-led-tvs/
Notice the companies….

http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-tvs-plasma-tvs/
quote from the page
“Pioneer’s PRO-111FD, a high-end plasma, is the best-performing flat-panel TV CNET has ever tested.”
Notice they didn’t say “best-performing PLASMA”- “best-performing flat-panel TV” is what they said. Notice Pioneer is the manufacturer….
I think my point has been proven
March 4th, 2011
I will chime in this discussion
Okay for pure picture quality, everything else not mattering, you don’t get better than a plasma screen….and no I don’t own a plasma I actually have a 55″ Sony the kdsa55 model to be exact, the year it came out, I believe end of 07- early 08, it was rated best tv for the price, second only to a much more expensive pioneer plasma…enough said
Remember, although plasma have their faults, I.e image retention, shorter life span than led, lcd etc…they have three VERY key advantages, true blacks, very wide viewing angles(makes viewing angles a non issue) and…fuck just drew a blank on the third….but you get the picture…
The sole reason though why most companies are abandoning plasma is manufacturing costs, OC’D, leds produce cheaper yields much faster…in le mans terms that means they get cheaper for manufacurers to make quicker….
There also many other variables that make leds /lcds more viable choices than plasma, but rest assured, when it comes to just lure side by side comparison of picture quality: plasma is better…
March 4th, 2011
I wasn’t talking about picture quality.
I was talking about the best TV manufactures who are producing the BEST TVs (overall) – this could be a combination of: durability, reliabily, features (Sony is leading), design (goes to Sony again), good/excellent picture quality, great sound (Sony), energy efficient (LEDs/LCDs – Samsung), models offering, innovations, compability, online connectivy and online features.
Most (maybe all) of those things I mention above goes to Sony and Samsung – that’s why they’ve been the leaders TV manufactures for decades.
March 4th, 2011
“I was talking about the best TV manufactures who are producing the BEST TVs (overall) – this could be a combination of: durability, reliabily, features (Sony is leading), design (goes to Sony again), good/excellent picture quality, great sound (Sony), energy efficient (LEDs/LCDs – Samsung), models offering, innovations, compability, online connectivy and online features.”
And yet, you’re still incorrect. The leaders are as follows:
Features- Pioneer, hands down.
Reliability– Panasonic & Pioneer (when your TVs range in the 4000-6000s, reliability comes standard)
Great sound– again, Pioneer (no arguing this- google Pioneer Kuro LOL )
Durability– To be honest, I don’t know this.
Good/Excellent Picture quality– Pioneer. (did you really say Sony? After the links I posted earlier? Really?)
Energy efficiency– Again, I stated the Korean TVs are the best. LG and Samsung. My TV is Energy Star qualified
http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/lg-50ps30-50-plasma/1707-6482_7-33570791.html
Sony isn’t leading anything in TVs dude. They aren’t even leading in something they’re trying their damnest to push– 3D HDTV. Panasonic is KILLING Sony in every categorical statistic, from innovation, to connectivity. Compare Sony’s best TV to the best LG or Panasonic. I’ve already done it. I’ll let you post your results before I post mine.
Panasonic, LG and Samsung are the leaders of today’s HDTV market. Sony is trying to keep up.
March 4th, 2011
http://reviews.cnet.com/best-high-definition-tvs/?tag=leftColumnArea1.0
Just motherfucking saying
Guess who’s at the top of that list
March 4th, 2011
“Sony isn’t leading anything in TVs dude”
of course not (roll eyes) they “just” the leader TV manufacturer for decades and now they are second behind Samsung. Pioneer was never considered one of the top players.
Let me know when Pioneer gets there. oh wait, they they forced out of the market but the market leaders which includes Sony and Samsung.
This is like Talking about HD-DVD vs Bluray. One is clearly dead and the other is a market leader.
Pioneer dead: The company’s U.S. and U.K. plants are shutting down by April and February of this year, respectively, and product development for TVs beyond what’s currently on the market is ending, seeing no prospects for improving profitability even after combining plasma efforts with Panasonic and LCDs with Sharp.
The future for Pioneer? Mostly car audio.” LMAO
March 4th, 2011
I don’t understand you at all… I never said Pioneer leads anything. I said Pioneer makes the best HDTVs. They were the leader- WERE. And they weren’t forced out of the market– they decided to leave that market while they were the leaders of HDTV. Please lets get our facts straight mate.
Panasonic is the leader of HDTV right now. That’s what I said.
March 5th, 2011
This is pointless, you definitely don’t what your talking about. Pioneer was never the learder and never will be. end of story
I just beat and plat’ed Mass Effect in one single playthrough 55hrs – that about 50 less that what Demon’s Souls took me during the first playthrough. ME2 on insanity was a peace of cake.

It took me that long because I did everything there is to do in the game and I plat’ed in one single playthrough. I don’t know how many ppl can say that.
I haven’t updated my trophies. but look now.

“It took me that long because I did everything there is to do in the game and I plat’ed in one single playthrough.”
Still took me 26 hours…
” I don’t know how many ppl can say that.”
I can tee hee hee.
“I haven’t updated my trophies. but look now.”
Oh I know, I’m just fucking with you. ME2 is still a better game than Poor Design Souls.

“Still took me 26 hours”
you plat’ed the game on multiple playthrough. I can tell by looking at your trophies. in fact by the date you plat’ed the game you already stated you were on you 4+ playthrough.
most of my time were spent collecting resources from all those damn unexplored planets. That is so time consuming.

about the ‘poorly’ design Demon’s Souls, here is what Cliff Bleszinski said about it:
“Even co-op – a synchronous co-op; Demon’s Souls was ahead of its time; what if I have an existing world where I can hide stuff from my friends, then send notifications to them; they come in and find it.”

I don’t remember saying 4th at that time… but c’est la vie.

You don’t have to spend more than 2 hours mining. But I digress– the speed at which I’m able to complete ME2 does stem from experience. However, my very 1st run on 360 was completed in 26 hours– on PS3 it took 19 ( I assumed we were talking about our first time with the game). Unlike yourself, when I get into a game– I almost never leave the seat, let alone change games. That is not a criticism. I feel I have to point that out because 99% of members here have the emotional hide of a jellyfish.
Not too fussed over CliffyB’s opinion. I don’t really think you should be either
“I don’t really work on PS3 – I HATE the fucking controller. I can’t stand the PS3 controller man! I love the Blu-ray player, I think there are some great games for PS3; I think Metal Gear’s great, Heavenly Sword was great, but right now I will always work on Xbox with Gears.”

The point is I managed to get all the trophies on one single playthrough. On 360 you have to beat the game twice to get one of the achievements so you can’t say you have completed Plat’ed the game in a single playthrough. You can’t do it on the 360 and you didn’t do it on PS3. I could have easyly Plat’ed ME2 in 20-30 hours as the Legion’s Mission/Omaga 4 Relay was already available but I dediced to do everything there’s to do in the game. I fully upgraded all my weapons, shield, and skins. I fully researched every single planet/galaxy. I did all the side missions and I talk to every character (many times) to hear all their nonsense.
Either way, it took me over 200 hours to Plat and to everything there’s to do in Demon’s Souls. As Cliff B said – Demon’s Souls is ahead of its time…maybe that’s why you couldn’t get into it. You’re still spoil by today’s (super easy games) like ME2. Insanity mode was a walk in the park, the only issue I had was with the Hammerhead – it’s super weak, 3 shots was all it took to set it on fire.
March 7th, 2011
Ahh ME2
I got the omega 4 relay active last night, but still need to recruit a couple of guys, and still got a shit load of other missions to do to get all the team loyal.
Sadly I screwed up the mission where you have to lure the blue aliens daughter in the bar. .it just went bad. .So I’m guessing she will never be loyal
I never was any good at pulling birds in bars
Just started the mission to get the lizard guys son. . .Fuck dyslexia is a bastard when it comes to remembering names.
Anyway cool game, even if the missions themselves are very linear. It’s a bit like the fable games, where the sum of the parts makes for a better game than it might otherwise have been.
my TV is the Samsung C580 40″ I prefered it to the plasma TVs I looked at. It has a softer but still crysal clear image with balacks that are balck enough for me for. Cost was not a factor I wouldn’t buy a plasma TV

It was a nice step up from my samsung LE32B450 and my LG 32LD450

Ahh assumptions. They all smell like the first 3 letters of the word ‘assume’.
You see, herein lies the 1 advantage ME2 on 360 has over PS3– ME1. You get the “long service” achievement for completing ME1 and importing to ME2.
I 1000G’d ME2 on first playthrough (no DLC), and did it in 26 hours.
Do I need to fire up the old 360 and take pictures???
March 7th, 2011
“I 1000G’d ME2 on first playthrough (no DLC), and did it in 26 hours.”
Actually, it was 1015G. I had the Zaeed DLC, because it was available day one. Just checked.
March 7th, 2011
wow – why you have to lie
so far you gamertag say you have 880/1255 achievements for ME2. You don’t even have the Insanity mode achievement.
I like you (you’re a cool dude) but you just lost all credibility you had man.

I guess I’m the only one that haven’t completed the game 100% in one single playthrough (no lie) and have proof the back it up.

No point in arguing with him Roca, if you’ve been to the moon then he has been twice. He don’t like it when some one is better than him so he makes shit up.
March 7th, 2011
He ALWAYS gets caught in the lie lmfao!
March 7th, 2011
I thought you were rich Birdshit? You keep going on about how much you get paid and that you ALWAYS play games, well how come I have a lot more 360 games than you and I ain’t been buying 360 games properly since the PS3 was released??? I just compared our Live lol.
You ain’t even 100% ME2 lmfao! You’re such a fucking liar!
March 7th, 2011
I have a few more games as well, I ain’t logged my console online for about a year now, so Reach is missing.
March 7th, 2011
I haven’t signed on Live since around Feb 2010, I think– that’s not up-to-date….
But you showed me something new… I’ve never known you can view this!
Is there a PS3 version?
March 7th, 2011
“You ain’t even 100% ME2 lmfao! You’re such a fucking liar!”
Of course not– DLC came out for it, that I never purchased or updated. It’s the same on PS3– I 100% on PS3, but it says 95% because of new DLC.
March 7th, 2011
This is really cool actually. I’m honestly impressed by this site.
But my list of achievements and games are not updated at all LOL. I hav 32 games played, not 22, and certain games like Dead Space show 3 achievements– I’ve beaten that game haha.
Again, I’ve no reason to lie about anything…you’re just looking at old data
March 7th, 2011
I’m on about your Live account, you ain’t even completed Insanity mode lol.
Either you ain’t synced your achievements or you’re lying again. If it’s the same in 24hours I’ll assume you’re lying. I’ll be checking. Any excuse is admittance of you lying.
March 7th, 2011
‘Again, I’ve no reason to lie about anything…you’re just looking at old data’
Then why do you keep getting caught lying.
March 7th, 2011
“I haven’t signed on Live since around Feb 2010, I think– that’s not up-to-date….”
You have the achievement for beating the game but you are missing the Insanity mode achievement and many other…as far as I know Achievements updates automatically
March 7th, 2011
‘as far as I know Achievements updates automatically’
If you log onto Live at all then yes it does it automatically. So he either ain’t played his 360 online for over a year or he is lying.
March 7th, 2011
“You have the achievement for beating the game but you are missing the Insanity mode achievement and many other…as far as I know Achievements updates automatically”
Not actually- Long Distance didn’t pop up until the credits were done. I remember turning off the game during credits, and if I’m not mistaken, Insanity didn’t pop until after Long Distance. That same day (I’m assuming, because I can’t remember) my Live account ran out– which was the 26th of Feb. It says that’s the latest I’ve played. That’s bollocks because I just took my 360 over my mate’s pad along with my PS3 for a LAN party friday and played Halo 3.
I just ain’t signed into live…
March 7th, 2011
LMFAO we beleive you lol
March 7th, 2011
‘I just took my 360 over my mate’s pad along with my PS3 for a LAN party friday and played Halo 3′
Is that seriously how you spend your friday nights?
March 8th, 2011
“we beleive you”
Really don’t care. You do not exist to me except on the internet. If you got killed tomorrow, my reply would be less than ‘eh’.
“Is that seriously how you spend your friday nights?”
Pretty much a party every weekend. Games, booze (i don’t drink), women, cards. It’s what we do when we aren’t married to questionably gendered females.
March 8th, 2011
so you achievements still updates, I’m not a live gold member and my achievements shows.
by the time you beat the game you were missing way too many achievements
March 8th, 2011
‘Pretty much a party every weekend. Games, booze (i don’t drink), women, cards. It’s what we do when we aren’t married to questionably gendered females’
Yeah, change that to a geeky night in at your boyfriends house playing games until the early hours.
How the hell did you go from ‘Friday playing Halo 3 round my friends’ to ‘Drinks, booze and women’? lmao you’re so full of shit it’s unbelievable.
And the day I believe you have had a woman is the day you change your picture to a hot female. But you’ll probably do that to prove you ain’t a virgin or gay, won’t fool me though.
You see I have very good reasons for thinking you might be gay, I listed them before. You have fuck all to back up your retarded claim that my Mrs is a guy, you’re just a little loser who when gets made to look stupid their only response is ‘Yeah and your gay’ lol
