Today, developer Techland re-introduced Dead Island after several years under the radar. The game was initially announced back in 2007 for the Xbox 360/PC and hasn’t been mentioned since. The studio blew the lid wide open today by releasing a “debut” trailer with some amazing screenshots.

Today Sony announces the first ever PlayStation Network Gamers’ Choice Awards. Gamers will be able to cast their vote in for their favorite or the game they are most hyped about across four categories.

According to a source Microsoft is planning on announcing a secret game in the coming months. Apparently the new game will be a reboot of a popular game from the past.

Earlier today Sony finally revealed the PlayStation Phone or Xperia Play publically during Mobile World Congress. The company dropped a teaser trailer last week during the Super Bowl, but did not officially announce.

George Hotz, notorious hacker recently released a rap video insulting Sony over the lawsuit filed against him. Hotz is to turn over all of his computer hard drives to Sony.

Battlefield 3 has been a long time coming and the game is starting to sound just as epic as the second game. DICE recently revealed that the game will be developed on the PC to take advantage of the hardware.

The first SOCOM game on the PS3 is the online-only SOCOM: Confrontation which launched back in 2008. The game was good but wasn’t up to the level of expectation SOCOM fans were hoping for from the franchise.

Activision recently confirmed that the company is working on a new “digital platform” for the Call of Duty franchise. This may finally be the subscription service that has been rumored for quite some time.

According to one site Bungie may be working on a piece of DLC for Halo: Reach. There has been no official word from Microsoft but from the way the company is acting this may be true.
