Microsoft: more ‘core’ Kinect games on the way
Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg and Major Nelson have both teased that there will be ‘core’ Kinect games announced this year. The company also recently held an event to showcase some of the games for the Kinect.
According to CVG, in an interview with Microsoft’s interactive entertainment business, Kevin Unangst, he revealed that the company is set to show off some more ‘core’ Kinect games this year.
Unangst stated that there are many more hardcore games for the Kinect coming this year. He stated, “This is sort of scratching the surface of what’s happening, but we’ve got Child of Eden here today, we’ve got Twisted Pixel’s Gunstringer… and certainly you’re going to see more.”
He added:
We’re not even a hundred days since we launched Kinect yet. It was very intentional with Kinect to go out and deliver blockbusters like Kinect Sports and Dance Central – games that resonated with a broader audience.
He also indicated that hardcore developers will be interested in making core games based on the strong holiday sales.
