There is some controversy over the quality of the Crysis 2 demo for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. IGN reported that the PS3 version of the demo seemed to suffer from framerate issues and jaggies everywhere.

Sony recently detailed the launch information for the PlayStation phone or Xperia Play. The phone will come with six preloaded games and a huge library of games available via the PlayStation Suite.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 peripheral Kinect sold extremely well during the holiday season last year. The company revealed that approximately 8 million units have been sold during the season.

Battlefield 3 dev DICE has challenged other competing studios to raise the bar in the FPS genre. DICE chastises other studios for using outdated tech to build games.

A notorious PS3 hacker has commented on Sony’s latest firmware update to fix the piracy issue on the console. Apparently the company has a broad overarching strategy that may be an “epic save.”

Sony recently revealed that the studio has too many first party games in the pipeworks currently. In fact the major publisher has so many exclusives that it’s running out of windows to place the titles for launch.
