Starhawk images leaked ahead of big reveal
Its no secret that Lightbox Interactive is working on something big, as chronicled by studio president Dylan Jobe. It appears that the studio is getting ready to make a big announced later today. However, some screen shots of the game may have been leaked ahead of schedule.
Gametrailers TV is set to debut a trailer for an unannounced PS3 title later today at 1am on the Spike channel. Chances are very good that the title in question is none other than Lightbox’s Starhawk. Jobe even confirmed in a tweet today that the game GTTV will reveal tonight is made by Lightbox.
Ahead of GTTV’s big reveal, GameSpot accidently leaked screenshots of the game. The site quickly pulled the pictures, but not before it was copied and leaked across various forums.
It appears that the Starhawk plane can transform into a giant mech suit for ground combat in addition to aerial/space combat. The art direction has completely changed, with the studio going for a much grittier look to it. It will be interesting to see the actual gameplay trailer to check out the space combat along with the single play campaign.

Meh, not really interested. Tbf I know nothing at all about Starhawk, don’t seem like something I would play. Another exclusive to the list …hope it don’t require online play lol.

Warhawk was great, in a third person arcadey way. It was a more arcade version of a Battlefield game.
This sounds like it will also have some RTS elements according to the joystiq preview.

I loved the first game, imo it had the best flight controls in today’s video game.
DLCs introduced many new modes and vehicles that made the game much better – Hero and Token mode were really cool. Additional vehicles like Dropships and jetpacks were also great.
You can say this game is a mix between many games, such as Battlefield, Twisted Metal, Ace Combat, Halo & Red Faction – if you like any of those games and you like playing online then you going to love this.
This has been in development for 4 years and it looks much better.

Carlb is only spreading whatever info is out there…you got to realize though, misinformation or not, PSN being down sucks balls….Sony may be working their asses off, but in the end, I gotta treat like I did blizzard when WoW was down for like a day…burn em at the stakes!!!! Lol
In all seriousness though, its the time to jab at Sony for their misshaps, and use this opportunity to make them improve/add functionality like x game chat, google chrome, etc…and saueeze free shit from Sony…
It has also shown sony and the industry, just how much and how many people actually enjoy PSN…the more vocal, the more its obvious its members love being logged on…despite whatever MS wants you to believe about an “inferior” free service….remember MS, gold only has 10 million out of 50 that are stupid enough to sub to your “service”…..

Because new accounts won’t be able to access the free games I would guess. Sony didn’t just go:
“Everyone have a free game!! What’s that? You don’t own a PS3? Have it anyway!”
Only accounts that were affected by the outage will be able to DL them.
