inFamous Game Trophy Data Port
Fans of the first inFamous will be rewarded with some cool stuff in InFamous 2. Sucker Punch recently revealed that the studio wanted to reward fans of the first game with some persistent carryover goodies.
As reported by IGN, inFamous 2 will offer an option to import Trophy data from the original game. This will provide players starting off with bonus set of XPs and a push towards Good or Evil, depending on your Karama trophy stat.
Here is the run down:
- Finished the game on any difficulty: 1,000 starting XP
- Have obtained a Good or Evil Trophy: Start with level 1 good or bad karma
- Have found 25 percent of the blast shards: Energy core (health bar segment)
- Have found 50 percent of the blast shards: Two energy cores
- Certain unspecified “decisions” also result in changes in side missions, Dead Drops and dialogue
As mentioned above, In addition to the additional boost in stats, the saved trophy data will alter the dialog and side missions in inFamous 2. This may be another reason to play through the first game before inFamous 2 drops on June 7th.

Resistance- Another good buy. I haven played both games. So, this would be nice to get. R3 should be out when im done lol.
Infamous- How is it trophy data when its using the Saved Data? I have Platinum and i have multiple game saves so i could get it. Couldnt we just get a prize for getting platinum? like a skin, power, more XP, something?
Forza 4- Looks cool, but i just think its dumb how they say they are going to top GT5. They must have gone mad to say that.
The only thing Forza has over GT is the 360s graphics chip with its shading component. Who cares, when im looking through my eyes at real life things, it doesnt look like a professional photograph with good saturation and shadows.

Insomniac Games this generation is lacking in games I pre-order new Ratchet and Clank all 4 one. Just to play co-op.

You know what news would be awsome?
PSN finally being fully restored.
Damn… guess that will have to wait for another news day.
May 28th, 2011
@fahkin
If PSN was fully restored, there would be hardly anything to write about in the article.
Gamer.Blorge already covered the welcome back program.
It would just be an opinion article. The real article has a better chance of being in the comments.
And im guessing you havent read about the May 31st date yet.

New PS3 exclusive is not UNCHARTED.
May 29th, 2011
1. I wonder if that mean Resistance 1 will get trophies.
2. Infamous 2 looks great.
3. Forza is an on-the-rails Kinect game now. Useless. Mario Kart is more realistic now.
May 29th, 2011
@BJ
I wish R1 would get trophy support. If Uncharted Drakes Fortune got it, why not R1? you know?
Forza wasnt great anyway. M$ is all for the money now, not the quality.
Just like Apple with its iPod Touches and iPads.
They keep stretching the life cycles with unneeded added generations.
More idiots buy the next one then. Just wait for the better one, jeez

@MAK
Sony’s owns Naughty Dog, they don’t own Insomniac.
I can’t wait for Infamous 2.
Sony will be live streaming its conference on the Playstation Blog – http://blog.us.playstation.com
@Mike
Sony’s making the live streaming video embeddable, is is possible you can embed it in your E3 article on June 6th

Resistance Fall of Man is not getting trophy it was already said and confirmed. The Resistance Dual Pack is just 2 games together nothing else nothing will be change only da u get the dlc free but the resistance dlc no one really plays or care for.
Is not a remastered version just pack together.
May 29th, 2011
@Roca
Didnt Sony used to own Imsomniac until a year ago or something?
Ill beat inFamous 2 before you too. So back off! Lmao
@Ivan
Yeah youre right. No one cares about the DLC. I either bought the DLC or gotten it for free for both games. And i dont even have the games lol.

Old school
Sales figures on VGchartz show that the PS3 is steadily selling higher than the 360.
Though the cap is down to 10,000 a week, at one point it was 40,000 a week, so not sure how the 360 can be widening the cap?
If I get time I will post the Chart I have showing sales since Launce of PS3 of all three .

“launch” dammed fingers

Mak
Have you ever played Forza?. . .any of them?
Forza 4 stands to be the best racer sim on the 360. I prefer Forza over GT because they are a bit more arcade but not too arcade, and a bit more fun with way less grind.
I had GT5 for the best part of a week, just after launch, and I will get it again once it drops below £20, but I will probably get Forza 4 before I get GT5
So long as they add weather and night driving with some new tracks and cars to play with, it’s entitled to be there as much as any follow up game.
odds are they will push the physics & graphics a little further too, so it all adds up to a game worth getting even if you have the previous incarnations.

@Godless
Yes, in fact, i have played Forza 3 and owned it.
It was neat, but it felt unorganized. I installed it, played it, and i stopped. I just didnt get into it. I felt overwhelmed by something.
I sold it to my friend eventually.
I hardly ever turn my 360 on. Mainly because i have the elite, so i cant connect to the internet without a $100 adapter, Not to mention Live.
Im planning on buying the new model. Should put me on track.
May 30th, 2011
Actually Mike, Roca brings up a really good point. Can you stream Sony’s E3 show here?
This is pretty much the only gaming site that isn’t blocked by websense at work.
May 30th, 2011
Forza is a bit like GT in that you need to play it for a while before it really starts getting good.
It’s not as overwhelming as GT5 in every aspect, especially if like me you really can’t be arsed getting into the tuning etc, Forza has easy auto upgrade options to keep your cars in the right class. All you need to do, is select the next race type and then drive.
I felt GT5 was less polished than Forza3, it will be interesting to see what they do with Forza4.
Damage modelling on both games is crap, and I’d like to see some Grid style damage for Forza 4, because it’s a whole lot more realistic than either GT5 or Forza3 currently have.
May 30th, 2011
Anyone got Dirt3, if so What’s it like?
May 30th, 2011
@Godless
Yeah, I’ve got Dirt 3. It’s really good IMO. It’s like a mixture of aspects from Dirt 1 & 2. There are still quite a few Landrush events from D2 but there is more of the rally events from Dirt 1. So it ends up being a bit more hardcore than D2.
But the clincher for me is the Gymkhana mode which is doing tricks (donuts, etc) and is very fun to play.
The online mode should be also brilliant with Capture the Flag, Invasion, etc (if/when PSN Store goes up).

“so long as they add weather and night driving with some new tracks and cars to play with”
Sounds like GT
May 31st, 2011
LOL, well yes, it would be a bit like GT. .but with handling and a progression system through the ranks that’s just a little more fun than GT.
I do actually like GT5, but it’s just a bit long winded for me, Forza is easy to dip in and out of and still make progress, I hope they keep it that way, and don’t make it too much like GT5
May 31st, 2011
GT is not about “fun” – for a “fun” racing game you should get arcade games like ModNation, Mario Kart and Forza – they are all in the same ball park.
GT has been the same since GT1 and it gives you a sense of realism unlike other racing game…. In fact, MS/Forza has been trying to replicate GT’s success (popularity & sales) but haven’t come close to it.
May 31st, 2011
LMAO. .
Forza is nothing like arcade racers, which I would list as Grid, Project Gotham, split second & Need for speed Shift etc. The games you list do not have any kind of real world handling, and are pure kids games.
I would guess you’ve never actually played Forza and are basing you statement on PS3 fanboy blogs
May 31st, 2011
“are pure kids games”
I bet modnation requires more dedication and skills than Forza and its replay and auto-break features. Forza is an arcade racer compared to GT. Just like Shift – it wants to be in the same category as GT but the game feel more like an arcade racer.
I would guess you’ve never actually played ModNation Racers and are basing you statement on Xbot fanboy blogs
May 31st, 2011
lol, I’m sure Roca is taking a dig at Forza since it has arcade like features such as rewind.
May 31st, 2011
Played the demo. .does that count, I thought it played like a shit version of Mario cart. .is that close enough
May 31st, 2011
Yeah, pretty close actually – just like Forza plays like a shitty version of Ridge Racers
idk man, but everytime you play the demo of a PS3 exclusive your opinion is always the same pal – they are always shit to you.
btw how’s GOW so far?
May 31st, 2011
LOL
Not true, its only a handful games I don’t really like, but you guys get so hurt by me not liking all things PS3 that they stick in your mind.
try listing all the things I have said I don’t like, it’s not that long a list.
demos I liked are way too many to list.
GOW on other thread
