It appears that a lot of great info is coming out of QuakeCon this year as John Carmack, the brains behind id Software, reveals all. According to an interview, Carmack talks briefly about Doom 4.

Earlier today, Xbox 360 owners started noticing free Microsoft Points being deposited into their accounts. Some games decided to take advantage of the situation by spending the points.

Rumors of a new Counter-Strike game emerged earlier today after posts on Steam forums alluded to a game titled Global Offensive. Valve has now confirmed that the developer is working on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Exclusivity around games and DLC do happen from time-to-time but its not often you hear about it in reference to a beta program. It appears that Ubisoft has worked out some sort of exclusive beta program for the PS3.

Sony recently revealed the details around PSN PLAY, a promotional event where four games will be featured on the PlayStation Store. Gamers who pick up all of the titles will be eligible for a free copy of an upcoming game.

Insomniac and Sony recently revealed that there would be a change in the PlayStation 3DTV bundle. The package was suppose to originally come with a copy of Resistance 3, but is now changed to MotorStorm: Apocalypse.
