Mobile iOS gamers will be in for a treat as several publishers have marked down some amazing iPhone games for Halloween. Capcom, 2K and EA have slashed up to 85 percent on some popular titles on the app store.

Oh dear. When will gamers learn? Maybe they never will, but I live in hope. Videogame reviews aren’t an exact science and cannot therefore be considered wrong. So 8/10 for Uncharted 3 is perfectly reasonable.

The console race has been heating up and it appears that sales for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo have been swinging back and forth every year. This year it appears that Sony is winning the race in two territories while Microsoft is taking the gold in one territory.

In a recent conference call, EA CEO John Riccitiello revealed some shocking numbers around the latest entry in the Battlefield series. According to the publisher the company has managed to move over 10 million units already.

The major breaking news from today is the official news that Sony would be buying out Ericsson’s 50 percent share of its mobile division. This means that Sony would have full control to execute on its mobile strategy.

There is a great deal of confusion over the free copy of Battlefield 1943 that was supposed to come with the PS3 version of Battlefield 3. At E3, the publisher and Sony revealed that a free copy of the stellar online multiplayer-only game would release along with the PS3 version of Battlefield 3.
