iOS Halloween Sale: Resident Evil 4 and Civilization Revolution
Mobile iOS gamers will be in for a treat as several publishers have marked down some amazing iPhone games for Halloween. Capcom, 2K and EA have slashed up to 85 percent on some popular titles on the app store.
As part of a Halloween sale, Capcom is offering Resident Evil 4 on the app store for $1. The game is normally around $5 but is currently on sale for a limited time. The iOS version of this classic hit is a bit watered down as its missing cut scenes, full audio dialog and all of the weapons, but has been updated for pickup and go play.
All of the levels are cut into missions for easier digestion with a ranking system and a new pro mode which can be unlocked. This allows gamers to replay each mission to get a higher score and unlock more stuff. I highly recommend this classic title if you have $1 to burn.
Another great title that is on sale for $1 is Civilization Revolution for the iOS. This awesome port of the classic series works extremely well on the mobile platform. Many of the complex nuances have been simplified for easier on the go digestion.
Another great titles on sale is Wolfenstein RPG, a remake of the classic FPS converted into a turn based game with leveling.

@ MAK: Some awesome games on my iPhone 4 mate. Dead Space, Julius Styles, Where’s My Water?, Cut the Roap, Backstab, etc.
The best one for me? GTA: Chinatown Wars. That game is perfect for the touch controls. Don’t forget GTA 3 is coming to iOS.

Uncharted looks good, & Bioshock could be good.
I love the look of Great little war game, A kind of remake on Blue Bytes Battle Island series, and I gather they are doing Mass effect & MW3
So while I know there are some great games coming, I fear that it could degenerate to getting ports, or just better versions of Phone style games
Escape plan, is not a game I would consider, and it’s the very type of game I think will dominate as the phone gamer generation takes off.

Assassin’s Creed is the only game in that list I would look twice at.
F1 2011 could be good, if it plays like the PS3 360 versions and not like the utterly shit PSP version of F1
I guess part of my concern is that my nephew has a PSP, and I’ve yet to see a game that impressed me, at a glace they look fine, but then as you play they reveal their weaknesses.
F1 is a good example, looks nice then you realise there is shocking game physics and no damage, so you can bounce of the walls & other cars all the way round to win ???? WTF. . it’s F1, where the slightest bump could be catastrophic to the car.
I have high hopes for the Vita.

If PS Vita can produce games such as Wipeout, Uncharted and many other games that look and play just like the console version…I don’t think there’s much to worry about.
In fact, the Vita has much more potential than console games due to it being able to do stuff beyond what consoles can do – things like touch screen, touch senstive panel on the back, augmented reality gaming, voice control and facial recognition, motion based gaming, etc.
