Saints Row: The Third is Volition’s latest zany open world game released just two days ago. The game has been getting positive feedback from various review outlets for its fun and over the top antics in the game.
Last year at E3, it was announced that the PS3 version of the game would come with an exclusive mode, which failed to materialize upon release. Many suspect that the PS3 exclusive mode might have been the “Whored Mode.” Yup, the mode plays exactly as it sounds.
It appears that THQ may have swapped out the exclusive mode in favor of an additional game – Saints Row 2. PS3 owners who pick up a new copy of Saints Row: The Third and redeem their online pass codes within the next 90 days will be able to download Saints Row 2 for free.
Go back to a simpler time, when the Saints were vying for control of Stilwater, before they were global icons, a household name, and a criminal empire. Before Professor Genki and the Syndicate, there were the Westside Rollers and the Brotherhood. Enjoy classic Saints Row activities like Septic Avenger, where you spray new homes with sewage in order to devalue property. And of course, enjoy a number of DLC packs brought to you by Volition’s favorite Saints Row 2 producer, Tera Patrick.
Gamers will be able to download their free copy starting next week. As reported on the official US PlayStation blog, this offer applies to the US, Canada and Mexico. Europe may announce a separate promo with THQ later on when the game releases tomorrow.
