Saints Row 4 dated, Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix for PS Vita uncovered

Saints Row 4 dated, Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix for PS Vita uncovered With the dismantling of THQ, many wondered if Saints Row 4 would make it out this year. Volition’s new owner, Deep Silver has revealed the launch date for Saints Row 4 and its only a few short months away.

Saints Row 4 never really got a proper unveiling and really came to light during THQ’s auction as Volition was sold off to Dead Island’s publisher. This may have caused the game to miss out on a prime time to market and build up hype for the game.

Deep Silver has revealed that Saints Row 4 will be launching August 20th in the US and three days later in Europe, leaving only five short months prior to the game’s launch.

A delay would be the obvious case here, but with Grand Theft Auto V dropping later this year, I can’t blame Deep Silver wanting to push this game out as early as possible. The publisher released an announcement teaser trailer today.

In other news, a mysterious logo for a new Assassin’s Creed game was discovered by All Games Beta, showing off a new title – Rising Phoenix. The logo references Ubisoft Digital Arts, which is the publisher’s special effects/cinematics studio.

It was reported that Ubisoft was planning another PS Vita Assassin’s Creed game for 2013. A Spanish online retailer, XtraLife.es has a listing for Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix on its site.

AC-RF

Just last week Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag to some controversy over the publisher’s decision to number the next game in the series on the heel of ACIII. Black Flag is supposed to be a mix of the navel combat found in ACIII along with traditional AC gameplay. It the leak is true, then it looks like Ubisoft just might be planning on releasing the new PS Vita Assassin’s Creed game around the same time as Black Flag.

I haven’t used my consoles to play games in well over a month but if nothing else gets me to do that before SR4 comes out that might be what gets me back into the game.

    *cough* Literally.

Had to throw that last bit in there :D

Lately I have been writing, watching shows, and only putting some hours here and there into a couple games on my PC. I’ve put maybe 15 hours into Diablo 3 since I bought it, and I just got Starcraft 2 Heart of the swarm and I put maybe 3 hours into it in the last few days.

So yeah, games haven’t been high on my priority list.

That’s weird considering the constant releases of awesome games. I have too much to play right now. Then PS+ adds to it a few times a month. (most recently, Spec Ops, Joe Danger 2, and The Cave)

Just finished Dead Space 3, but I want to go back for some CO OP when my friend finally gets it.

Finished God of War Ascension, and trying to clean up some of the Misc trophies here and there

Far Cry 3 is in the mail.

Need to finish up Darksiders (PS+) so I can start Darksiders 2 that twilight bought me :)

I haven’t bought it, but I want Tomb Raider, and then Bioshock Infinite comes out in a week.

Still am two games behind with Assassins Creed (AC:Revelations+AC3), and I really want Dishonored.

Yeah.. That’s probably why I’m so behind. Also, there’s been some very good TV happening, making choosing between stuff an issue. I may not have logged into Netflix in over a month, which is really odd for me. Just been trying to play catch up with the DVR.

    Phranctoast,
You’ll have some fun with Darksiders 2 whenever you get around to it. I like this game. In fact, I like this game better then the first game. I like the fact that Death is more agile then his brother. However, Darksiders 2 is not quite as polished as the first game. The game just could have used just a little more development time. I hate that the developer went under. I don’t know if anyone did or not but I certainly hoped that someone picked up the license for this game.
