There is a rumor going around that Insomniac Games, a studio that has been historically PS3 exclusive is said to be going multiplatform. Considering the fact that Insomniac Games is an independent developer this is completely feasible.

Recently Square Enix and major UK retail chain, HMV partnered up to hold a massive launch even for Final Fantasy XIII in London. Thousands of die-hard Final Fantasy fans showed up dressed up in costumes to win some swag. However, things started getting ugly when the Xbox 360 came out.

The February NPD numbers are out for the U.S. and the sales figures look good for the most part. From the home console front, the Xbox 360 surprisingly took the number one spot with the Nintendo Wii taking a small dive.

During GDC, Peter Molyneux gave a very nice power point presentation of the goals behind the ambitious Fable III. He may have provided too much information when he stated that the Fable franchise will die if it does not grow.

Sony announced SOCOM 4 last week to much fanfare. This week the Zipper Interactive developed title was demonstrated on stage during the Sony’s GDC press conference. This is the first time the gameplay has been shown and it’s looking pretty good.

The big news of the day is around Sony’s press conference today at GDC. As speculated, Sony made a big splash about its motion controllers rumored to be called the ‘Arc.’ However, surprisingly Sony instead revealed that the new motion controllers will be called the Playstation Move.

Zombie games may seem like a dime-a-dozen nowadays, but if you look hard enough there are some real gems out there. That is what Halfbrick studio hopes to bring with Age of Zombies for the PSP and PS3.

Assassin’s Creed II utilizes the new digital rights management system that needs to communicate with a server to authenticate the game. Ubisoft’s controversial new DRM for the PC backfired on the company after it was heavily attacked yesterday.

Heavy Rain is one of those titles with a lot of buzz around it. The developers at Quantic Dream attempted to craft a one of a kind experience with the game. There is no doubt that it was a risky move to make Heavy Rain, but the big question now is – was it well worth it?
