Nintendo: we recognize you need storage, but Wii don't have anyCasual gaming doesn’t require any substantial storage, right? Wrong. The gamers have spoken, and Nintendo’s response is rather lack-luster. Nintendo knows the Wii is in need of storage, but there aren’t any external storage deices in the works…unless Nintendo has some brilliant cloud storage scheme up it’s sleeve, what are Wii left with?

Experts believe gaming addicts don't have social problemsMost of us probably have two groups of gamer friends: there are the gamers that casually game, and then there are the gamers - the ones that barely escape their dank basements long enough to drive back and forth to Burger King. Recent tests claim that gamers don’t have social problems, but those experts are completely off-base as to what signifies a social problem in a gamer.

5 things that make Gamestop unbearable

5 things that make Gamestop unbearable I can’t take it any longer. As a gamer who has an insatiable tendency to make impulse purchases, Gamestop, for better or worse, tends to be my one-stop shop for all things gaming. With that said, I also despise Gamestop as much if not more than the judging staff of American Idol, and here’s a list of the top 5 worst things about almost every Gamestop location.

Haze fails to dazzle, PS3 suffers hype hit The reviews are in, and Haze really dropped the ball…in fact, it never really had the ball. If you’ve played the demo, you probably know what I and the countless critics who reviewed it are talking about. Though Haze might only be one title worth pushing under the rug in a steady stream of greatness, it still stings a bit as a PS3 fan, especially with all the buildup this game received.

Nintendo cries over $232 million “price-raising collusion” EU fine

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Nintendo cries over $232 million Occasionally, after reading the comment discussions of you readers, I am forced to step back and re-evaluate my position on Nintendo; after all, everyone deserves a second chance, right? I can officially say I’m back to a pitiless position on Nintendo, because the gaming giant got caught with a hand in the business cookie jar back in the 1990s, was penalized $232 million for colluding to raise prices by the EU commission, and won’t stop whining about it.

Wii Fit: crushing the self-esteem and body images of children everywhereWhether or not the Wii Fit is really capable of getting kids and loser older gamers who can’t move on to more adult pastimes in shape through gaming or not is still largely yet to be seen. What you can bet on experiencing, on your way to getting buff courtesy of the Nintendo Wii, is that the Wii doesn’t sugarcoat the truth about your body…if you’re fat, the Wii will give it to you straight, whether you’re an impressionable 10-year old girl or not.

Nintendo pays $21 million for having hands in the patent cookie jar

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Nintendo pays $21 million for having hands in the patent cookie jarIts a great Sunday for me when I catch wind of a double whammy like this one in which the big corporations can’t get away with stealing ideas from the little guys, and Nintendo has to pay anyone for anything. Apparently Nintendo’s original and revolutionary controller designs haven’t quite lived up to their originality, as Nintendo has been made to pay $21 million to a small company which filed patents for both the Wii and Gamecube.

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Sony believes MMO titles like As I’ve been so graciously deemed the resident Sony fanboy of Blorge, I feel it is my duty to report all things Sony speak so the all you trolls can tear it to shreds. Sony feels that forthcoming massive multiplayer online titles, specifically the forthcoming “The Agency,” will draw gamers to the Playstation 3 in droves and hordes.
