A little game based on the Unreal Tournament 3 engine has been getting a bit of attention from the video game community. The game, The Haunted is a complete UT3 mod developed from the ground up to be a action-horror shooter.

With the Spike VGA award show coming Dec. 12, gamers have started voting for their favorite games. The Spike VGAs are one of the biggest award ceremonies celebrating the achievements in the video game industry. Currently, Sony has the most number of nominees at the show – could this spell a sweep in categories for the giant publisher?

Games have grabbed our attention, and our time, ever since the first video game: SpaceWars out of MIT. Students at MIT used to wait for hours (sometimes days) for a chance to play SpaceWars, an interactive game that used up so many resources on the massive mainframe it could only be played in the wee, off hours when it wouldn’t interfere with the school’s daily workings. Gamers everywhere are finally getting recognition for their skills, companies, inventions and more in the new Guinness Book Of World Records: Gamers Edition.

For techies and internet junkies, CEOs and their antics are much more exciting to follow than those celebs over in Hollywood, mainly because there is so much drama that CEOs spew forth one can hardly leave the internet and break from the excitement. Well the latest CEO to step up to the baseless accusation plate is none other than the CEO of Dreamworks, who soooo went there: video games are hurting the sales of movies!
