Media Create has released some sales data ahead of its regularly scheduled report. The firm revealed that the Vita sold approximately 65 percent of its launch stock.

Sony recently launched the PlayStation Vita in Japan and according to reports it appears that initial shipment is already sold out. The company decided to raise its initial launch supply to 700k due to strong demand for the device.

Earlier today Microsoft announced that the Xbox 360 saw its biggest sales week during Black Friday in the US. This is big news for the console considering its in its seventh year out on the market.

Death, taxes, and rumors of new games consoles. The holy trinity of things we can be certain of. Luckily Michael Pachter is here to save the day. Or at least to quash the new games console rumors. I would hope he doesn’t avoid paying taxes, and I’m fairly certain he’ll face death at some point.

Microsoft is currently celebrating the 10-year anniversary for the Xbox brand. Its hard to believe that this once new entrant into the gaming arena was harshly deemed by the gaming community to be a failure.
