There is no Wii HD, at least according to Reggie Fils-Aime. But a Wii 2? Probably, possibly, just don’t hold your breath.
The December NPD numbers are finally out showing a strong December 2009. Surprisingly, hardware sales was actually up by 16 percent year-over year despite the recession.
Rumors of a new DS in the works came to a head recently when the CEO of Nintendo was quoted by a newspaper indicating that there is some truth to the speculations. However, today the CEO is backpedaling by indicating otherwise.
Could there be a sequel to MadWorld on the Wii? The developer, Platinum Games, certainly thinks so, even if the publisher, Sega, disagrees. But the question that has to be asked is does anyone actually care if there is a MadWorld 2 or not?

And there we were thinking Sega was going to try and cater to the hardcore Wii minority. But no, the company is turning its back on that admittedly small percentage of Wii owners who want to do more than play Wii Sports once a week. Make the most of MadWorld, The Conduit, and House of the Dead: Overkill as that’s probably going to be it.
