Blizzard community manager, Micah Whiple let a big announcement slip via Twitter recently. While it may have been unintentional, the cat is now out of the bag as the console development of Diablo III has been confirmed.
Earlier this week Irrational Games revealed that Bioshock Infinite would have a mode called 1999. This new mode is supposed to be a hardcore difficulty setting paying homage to the games of the past.
Develop has called Dust 514 the PS3’s most important game previously and as time goes by its becoming evident as to why this could be the case. Besides being probably the most ambitious cross platform/game universe project of all time, the developers will also be “trailblazing” across new console territory with its universal currency.
The big news out today is around the official reveal of Resident Evil 6, the next iteration in the cannon. Capcom dropped an action packed trailer that reveals much about this “dramatic horror” game.

Max Payne 3 was originally set to release in March, but Rockstar has now revealed that the game will be delayed. This is big news for the developer, as the company will now report a net loss for 2012 as the game is outside the current fiscal year.
Just Add Water recently released the successful remake of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath on the PlayStation Network. The remake of the popular Xbox game was well received by various media outlets. It appears that the studio is already hard at work on another remake from the franchise.
2K Marin’s announcement of a reimaged FPS XCOM game caused quite a stir amongst hardcore fans of the classic franchise. This prompted the studio to delay the release of the game as XCOM has been redesigned to be a bit more strategic in nature. Another studio recently revealed that another XCOM game was currently in development that may cater towards the hardcore fans.
There will be no PS4 unveiled at E3 2012. Either that or the head honcho at SCE is a liar.
E3 2012 could be major. Or a damp squib. It really depends who you choose to listen to.
