The Internet exploded last night after news of strife between Infinity Ward heads and Activision came to light. Apparently, two of the executives at the studio were fired by Activision with a lawsuit to follow.

Darksiders flew under the radar for most people. However, THQ plans on rectifying this by releasing a full blown demo or slice of the game to the populous. No other publisher has done this in the past and it is a risky move that could pay off.

Xbox Live recently achieved a new milestone as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launched recently. Apparently, roughly two million gamers were on XBL playing online at once, which is a new record for the service. This is truly a testament to the power of Modern Warfare 2.

Bioware, the studio behind Mass Effect recently unveiled some interesting news about its next big game, Dragon Age: Origins. The studio indicated that Bioware is exploring the possibility of bringing mod support for the PS3 version of the game. The developers also talk a little about working on the PS3 for the first time.

Final Fantasy XIII is undoubtedly the most anticipated RPG game of next year. The game has been in development for a very long time and Japanese PS3 owners will have first crack at it later this year. The lengthy demo for the game was released several months ago in Japan with enough content packed in to offer a taste of the game.

The PS3 had a stellar video game lineup in 2008, but with 2009 in full swing, many PS3 gamers will probably be wondering what new game will blindside them this year. There are many big name sequels coming out this year that will obviously sell millions. However, I will take a look at the one game that I think will be the sleeper hit on the PS3.

The Nintendo Wii press conference is underway and they have just confirmed Animal Crossing is indeed coming to the Wii. Nintendo also unveils a new peripheral as well called Wii-speak.
