To call Modern Warfare 2 a success is to underplay its achievement. Not only has the latest title in the Call Of Duty series outsold all other video games in its first five days on sale, but it also racked up more cash than any movie ever has in that time frame as well. The Medal Of Honor series was/is an important one as it set the tone and acted as the basis for the series which came after it. Most notably, of course, it led to the creation of Infinity Ward and the creation of the Call Of Duty series. Modern Warfare 2 has been ultra successful, so is now the right time for EA to create and release a new Medal Of Honor title?

Here we are slap-bang in the middle of a recession yet Activision decides not only to ramp up the RRP of Modern Warfare 2 but also to release two new rhythm-action games, both of which come with their own (expensive) peripherals. The company is already planning new Guitar Hero, DJ Hero, and Band Hero games in 2010 but it’s eyeing less SKUs. Which is some small relief I guess.
