Max Payne 3 was originally set to release in March, but Rockstar has now revealed that the game will be delayed. This is big news for the developer, as the company will now report a net loss for 2012 as the game is outside the current fiscal year.

2K Marin’s announcement of a reimaged FPS XCOM game caused quite a stir amongst hardcore fans of the classic franchise. This prompted the studio to delay the release of the game as XCOM has been redesigned to be a bit more strategic in nature. Another studio recently revealed that another XCOM game was currently in development that may cater towards the hardcore fans.

Last year Microsoft made a huge deal about its new IPTV service that would be coming to the Xbox 360. The initiative came from the big man himself, Steve Ballmer. However, it looks like Microsoft may have gotten ahead of itself on this deal.

One of the biggest news to come out this week is around a user who discovered an underground black market selling thousands of hacked Xbox Live accounts. Stories of user accounts getting hacked have persisted for years including Microsoft employees such as Major Nelson, and Xbox Live’s Stephen Toulouse, who is responsible for Policy and Enforcement.

Final Fantasy XIII released back in 2010 to mostly positive reception. However, there were still those that criticized the game for ditching many of the traits found in the previous Final Fantasy titles. It appears that FF XIII-2 may have addressed many of the concerns against the first title.

Newly formed studio, Yakuza has been quietly working away on a very interesting title called Binary Domain along with Sega. At a glance the game is a third person shooter with a cover system, but under the hood there is much more going on than meets the eye.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is the latest entry in the popular series released by Ubisoft, which is a continuation of the overarching story of the secret war between the Assassins and Templars. Revelations will intertwine the stories of Desmond Miles, Altair La-Ahad and Ezio Auditore da Firenze in a way never seen before in the series.
