Game review scoring
Our goal is to write reviews that express honest, concise and to-the-point analysis of the game.
We score games based on several categories:
Story - This is scored based on how deep and engaging the game is. Also, the originality and length may contribute to the score.
Controls - This category is scored on the control scheme, intuitiveness and inventiveness. Gameplay elements can also contribute to the score as well.
Visuals - This may be scored based on the quality of the graphics and attention to detail. Also, the artistic direction and originality can contribute to the score.
Design - The design of the game could reflect choices made regarding game flow, pacing and online/co-op/multiplayer experience.
The average for each category is taken to determine the final overall score provided after the wrap-up. The scoring method is designed to appeal to a broad audience while still providing a simple-to-understand system.
The scoring system is outlined below:
5 = Excellent
4 = Good
3 = Average
2 = Fair
1 = Bad
